In my opinion Hyderabad Sunrisers is the best buyer of this auction. They grabbed very good allrounders(mostly suited for T20's - perera, sammy, nathan),a perfect fast bowler(McKay - Australia's ODI Player of the year) and good young talent(Dekock). . .

  • class9ryan on February 5, 2013, 0:03 GMT

IPL should take a break for a year after this edition .... may be we would have General Elections in India and one year gap can actually make people excited for next seasons

  • Pablo123 on February 4, 2013, 7:57 GMT

Chris Morris - huge buy for CSK

  • Cpt.Meanster on February 3, 2013, 18:24 GMT

@agarkarno1: What a stupid comment !!! If the IPL is going to be held every 2 years then it ain't a league any more. It would become a BCCI special event. Please be aware of what you comment on these boards.

  • Mohan vijay on February 3, 2013, 14:44 GMT

Anyway IPL auction 2013 is over..I don't guess it is balanced or not. I love IPL very much...It's like a great VILLA for everyone especially INDIANS... Lots of joy, thrill, eager, espectation, loses, wins and all exciting...Another 2 months wait for a 2 month fun...Just Enjoy...

  • AltafPatel on February 3, 2013, 14:29 GMT

Effects of decrease in popularity in terms of audience and sponsors are clearly visible. Highest paid player got Rs. 5.3 Cr. where is in last auction, many got higher than that, Gambhir-11 Cr, Pahan brods-8 Cr, few names to say.

  • agarkarno1 on February 3, 2013, 14:01 GMT

IPL is okay, but keep it for once in two years or less than a month. Otherwise, its going to ruin the Indian cricket. especially the test cricket.

GUPTILL UNSOLD! OMG He had just hit a t20 century against SA and have 1 in 90's all r out of their mind

  • Lakpj on February 3, 2013, 13:20 GMT

Sri Lanka are the no1 team in T20s, their players hardly get a value at these auctions, Aussie players who rank at 7 get huge amounts, some of them have hardly played not more than few games. And Mumbai buying Rickey they have enough trouble carrying Sachin and now they have 2. They were great players but the time has come on them. remember Pune messed things up by picking Sourov same might happen to Mumbai as well.Malinga is the only genuine match winner they have. though people watch IPL the quality of cricket is getting lesser and lesser with each season.

when will they ever learn, another average cricketer from oz in stat terms anyway. Maxwell is he worth that sort of money. we had dan cristian paid similar and did nothing now Maxwell.

i do not blame the guy i suppose hes worth what a franchise is willing or think hes worth. but the guys do nothing. Morgan from england is one of the best finishers in international cricket but did not get a game last ipl something smells.they keep on buying average aussies. its not sour grapes in so far as the guys been payed well its just they have not produced the goods in their local or international T20s to warrent those kinds of money

  • Perera32 on February 3, 2013, 12:46 GMT

@tendulkarisGOOD: Whaaaat????, Malinga only gets paid $500k from Mumbai??. If thats true then IPL Bidding is a joke, surely Malinga is the MVP of IPL. And did they get Senanyake and Dananjaya mixed up because getting Dananjaya for $20K is the biggest steal ever, As a sri lankan, I don't rate Senanyake high at all but I rate Dananjaya well over Aj Mendis and Senanyake.

  • cricteer on February 3, 2013, 12:40 GMT

what about ricardo powell? wasnt he in the auction? anybody has any info?

  • on February 3, 2013, 12:31 GMT

5 years ago, i watched every cricket match regularly. But this time, i am so boring in cricket especially T20 cricket like IPL. I think IPL has damage the cricket world. It reduces the international match day by day. Cricket is a country game. You will do wrong if you compare cricket with football. From the past, football is a club based game. I am a biggest fan of football and my favorite club is Real Madrid. Due to this wrong decision in cricket, i am going to be a fan of football from cricket. I think, there are a lot of learning for cricket from football world.

  • landsite on February 3, 2013, 12:30 GMT

I wouldn't have some of the players that have been bought for the IPL in my VPL (Village Premier League).I feel the Indians think that Australians give the IPL more credibility.

  • electric_loco_WAP4 on February 3, 2013, 12:24 GMT

Why a multi- millionaire like 'Pup' Clarke is desparate to play IPL is beyond me . The best test batsman in the world could have reigned in to the lure of the lucre and just few months b4 start of an Ashes series - and relatively less imp. Champs Tropy pre to that . Not that it would adversely effect his batting in that the current popgun attack of Eng is going to be rich pickings for such class player and another run fest in a test series is all but certain continuing from last year... Hope he causes his team to fail badly in 1st few IPL games and be benched for rest of IPL ... don't want MC of all do some injury just b4 Ashes!!... and with his injury record . Hope he bags his dollars and save himself harm by being benched by franchise...

  • tendulkarisGOOD on February 3, 2013, 12:23 GMT

I seriously BELIEVE malinga should leave MIs cancelling their contract! and i m sure He will get 2 million dollar contract with other teams! MI paying 1 milliion to Glen maxwell where as only half of that is paid to malinga! the most successful strike bowler for MI in IPL and champions league! nearing 100 scalps MALI 17 more to go! IPL bidding is a JOKE!

  • Rajesh_india_1990 on February 3, 2013, 12:18 GMT

Eventhough sachin is the greatest batsman the world has ever seen, ponting is better captain than sachin...appoint him as MI skipper

  • ullasjp on February 3, 2013, 12:10 GMT

rcb left dirk nanes and now they gone for rampaul and unadkat. i cant understand the logic behind that.

  • Rajesh_india_1990 on February 3, 2013, 12:04 GMT

wow!!!sachin and ponting opening for mumbai Indians..this is why ipl is better than other minnow leagues...

  • InsideHedge on February 3, 2013, 12:02 GMT

MI already have a slow-poke in SRT, now they go and buy Ponting, who comes up with these strategies? Philip Hughes is a decent buy tho, he's a surprisingly good T20 player as his performances over the last 12 months show.

  • ullasjp on February 3, 2013, 11:48 GMT

tom moody is the coach and sangakara is the capt for hyd

  • Jayzuz on February 3, 2013, 11:20 GMT

The other thing is that they got ripped off with Maxwell. I would have taken the job for half that much.

  • Jayzuz on February 3, 2013, 11:19 GMT

So what do we call him now? Max-A-Million? Anyway, that's what I'm calling him. They must pay guys by the size of their mouths these days. I don't mind Maxwell as a budding player, but I was kind of hoping for a gradual reduction in the size of his ego. Fat chance of that now! Certainly he hasn't proved himself yet. Potential is a lot to pay a million bucks for.

  • LALITHKURUWITA on February 3, 2013, 11:18 GMT

can somebody tell me captains and coachers of hid IPL?

  • GopiKothandapani on February 3, 2013, 11:17 GMT

CSK missed the R.P.Singh voluntarily it seems

  • LALITHKURUWITA on February 3, 2013, 11:17 GMT

This IPL auction is a joke, Michael Clerck ismnot a T20 player, he is paid 400,000.

  • GopiKothandapani on February 3, 2013, 11:14 GMT

CSK could have got R.P.Singh as they are primarily lacking at the indian fast bowler slot...

  • anilk2100 on February 3, 2013, 11:01 GMT

who says prior is a best wicket-keeper in the world?

  • LALITHKURUWITA on February 3, 2013, 10:59 GMT

Sachutra was paid $625,000. He is not a permanent player for SL. Lalith - Sydney

  • binu.emiliya on February 3, 2013, 10:50 GMT

Where is David Wisse? He is a good allrounder

  • on February 3, 2013, 10:38 GMT

outrageous amount of money being spent on these cricketers...t20 is impact cricket where you need players who can do wonders for your side in 2-3 overs, thats why clarke, ponting got less compared to these young players

  • jkidst on February 3, 2013, 10:37 GMT

The best wicket-keeper in the world, Prior - unsold Best seamer in the world, Philander - unsold One of the best ODI bowlers, Tsotsobe - unsold

  • IndianInnerEdge on February 3, 2013, 10:34 GMT

...Meanwhile - Real cricket is on...In J-burg and in Perth.....and the women are playing as well....Can't believe the amount of coverage and media space given to the horse trading taking place....To Mitchell Stark - goodonya m8...must be a gr8 feeling to tell them - You donot own me!

  • on February 3, 2013, 10:30 GMT

Philander and Guptil should have been bought... bit surprised...!!

  • sonu77 on February 3, 2013, 10:28 GMT

two biggest bargains are De cock & Kusal Perera

  • gsingh7 on February 3, 2013, 10:12 GMT

maxwell for 1 million , what a shame for more talented players , also glad to see no english player in ipl(barring maverick kp) they are useless on rank turners, also what is obsession with aussie players , kings 11 and mumbai are stacked to brim with them , they r over rated most of time, wi are best players of t20 apart from indians. welcome back luke, show ur bbl form here which won u title, also welcome punjab lad gony,be a hero in ur hometown.

  • piyush_Daredevils on February 3, 2013, 9:50 GMT

kane richardson .........big surprise......... kevin o brein and jacob oram un sold.......

  • KingofSwag on February 3, 2013, 9:49 GMT

I think that Mumbai are only buying overseas players for 2 reasons; 1. Because they can. 2. To make sure that no-one else can get them! Being a KKR fan I am disappointed that we do not have more players, and I am in the hope that we buy either Mclaren/Bollinger to boost our bowling attack, someone who can take some of the weight of Narines shoulders, I don't think that Sennayake is experienced enough.

  • M4nd4R on February 3, 2013, 9:44 GMT

The kids like Nathan Coulter-Nile and Kane Richardson, whose names most of us were unheard of, are being sold for an amount which is more than a player like Ricky Ponting and players having ample international experience remaining UNSOLD..! It happens only in IPL..!

  • jonesy2 on February 3, 2013, 9:44 GMT

staggering and appalling that brilliant players like hazlewood, mckay, rohrer, cutting and birt can be unsold yet chris morris barnwell? get bought. amazing

  • on February 3, 2013, 9:42 GMT

no bids for Kieron Powell who is beating Maxwell and Faulkner for boundaries!

  • balachi on February 3, 2013, 9:40 GMT

hope this year at least CSK get a really competiton for Semi Spot

  • MikR on February 3, 2013, 9:29 GMT

I think KKR should have baught an extra middle order batsman instead of Senenayeke because they already have 3 good spinners Shakib Al Hasan, Narine and Iqbal Abdulla.

  • Shishank on February 3, 2013, 9:27 GMT

No bidders for McKay but Coulter is sold. Strange. Baffling.

  • kandykolla on February 3, 2013, 9:27 GMT

RIP Test cricket......!! My deepst sympathies and accept my condolences !!!

  • LillianThomson on February 3, 2013, 9:21 GMT

I'm a Kiwi living in Australia.

If I had the money, I'd happily pay $1 million to keep the mediocre Maxwell in the Australia team forever.

Does nobody ever question what is really going on with these payments?

  • soumyas on February 3, 2013, 9:19 GMT

IPL bidders are acting like they don't know cricket. clint Mckay unsold, and Maxwel went for millions...LOL

  • gaurav1981p on February 3, 2013, 9:19 GMT

I just saw lots of ppl asked for the channel airing the live telecast, its on Sony SIX (Sony's sports channel), although I guess its way too late to tell !!

  • piyush_Daredevils on February 3, 2013, 9:16 GMT

James Hopes ,Dan Christian could have been purchased rather than Ryder .DD would need 1 more opener .

  • MadhavY on February 3, 2013, 9:15 GMT

you gotta be kidding me,, sachitra senanayake.. why?? what did you see in him. I'm sure he's not going to make it to final 4 international players quota in any match.

  • Adoh on February 3, 2013, 9:04 GMT

Maxwells result must be based on his ability to keep talented players from the Australian team. With an ODI batting average of 32, a bowling average of at least 171 (and climbing), I cannot see any other reason why someone might chose to waste so much money!

  • Intelligent_Indians on February 3, 2013, 8:59 GMT

CSK going for foreign players is totally amazing ! APart from hussey Kula and Hilfy the have Morkel and Bravo too. THen comes in form Faf Du Plessis. They have lost the plot i guess.

  • Captain_Oblivious on February 3, 2013, 8:56 GMT

$1 million for Maxwell, is this a joke? Oh wait it's Circus IPL so that answers my question.

  • SamFleming on February 3, 2013, 8:55 GMT

maxwell million dollar man!! golden duck nw getting takin to!!! what a buy

  • gaurav1981p on February 3, 2013, 8:48 GMT

I guess Gambhir is the only current player who is sitting in the auction. He must consider himself very lucky because on the basis on current form I wouldn't have bought him for 20000 dollars !!

  • land_slide on February 3, 2013, 8:46 GMT

I realize I'm 'slightly' late in asking this, but how is a player's base price calculated? any relevant info is appreciated.

  • RednWhiteArmy on February 3, 2013, 8:42 GMT

Maxwell 1 million? Is it April 1st again already?

  • on February 3, 2013, 8:39 GMT

  • rohanblue on February 3, 2013, 8:36 GMT

Mathin Patel dude george bailey is already in csk squad, he is with them since 2009, long before he made his oz debut, ofcourse bailey is a n awesome player, should play regularly fr csk.......

  • Tz.Rock on February 3, 2013, 8:36 GMT

KKR shold buy a seam boller cz lee is out of form as well as they should buy a power hitter too...I can't understand their strategy...

  • Ckt_Analyst on February 3, 2013, 8:29 GMT

Bidding is uniformly done wrong by all the franchises so some good players are left out while some average players have a got a nod in with high prices ... surprised but deviations were uniform ..... What RCB though did which others didn't is to play with the other franchises so that the players others wanted went to the those franchises at a much higher price than they were expecting for ... this is steadily reducing the purchase power of other franchises ... other franchises particularly PWI should learn from them how to manipulate ... should go for players not just to buy them but to also decrease the available purse for other franchises ...

  • waqarme1 on February 3, 2013, 8:23 GMT

we want pakstani players in ipl 2013 bcz pakistani players proves himself in the field of t20. imran nazir, abdul razzaq and afridi.

  • Parmi007 on February 3, 2013, 8:23 GMT

I'd say the best bargain of the auction so far is Ajantha Mendis - $725,000 to Pune Warriors (base price $50,000)

  • Harmony111 on February 3, 2013, 8:16 GMT

One can see how most of the franchises are still to understand the concept of auctions and in the 5-6 years of IPL they are yet to show much tactical sharpness in biddings. It is perhaps cos IPL is still a young league and ppl will get better as it ripens. But players like Guptill, De Kock going unsold shows that either these ppl know something that none of us know or may be they don't know how to make full use of whatever they know.

  • heartbreakerz on February 3, 2013, 8:16 GMT

punjab shud buy vernon and guptill

  • Apocalypse_EX on February 3, 2013, 8:15 GMT

Phil Hughes is the best buy for me. 100,000 for a guy who averages 53 in T20 cricket is unbelievable!

  • dilusha90 on February 3, 2013, 8:12 GMT

Why? COOLANKA. Let them play some first class Cricket or send them to somewhere like England in the Summer to play club Cricket

  • on February 3, 2013, 8:10 GMT

y there is no bailey for auction can anyone reply me...he is brillian captain with brillian fiealder and a good finisher ...

  • aslamPK on February 3, 2013, 8:09 GMT

Pakistanies can play ODI and T20 series with India in India but can not play IPL.Is it not strange???

  • Harmony111 on February 3, 2013, 8:09 GMT

I really have no idea what Kris Srikkanth is doing at the bids venue for Sunrisers. He isn't too bright when it comes to management and strategy and yet he is the one who took decisions what Sun-risers want and don't want. I bet Sunrisers will end having one of the weakest or most lop-sided teams of he club. Pune finally can at least have the 2nd last place this IPL.

  • sanjaycrickfan on February 3, 2013, 8:08 GMT

RCB wants to build a pace bowling factor or what ? They already have Zaheer Khan, Vinay Kumar, Sreenath Aravind, Abhimanyu Mithun, P Parameswaran and now bid for RP Singh, Jaydev Unadkat and Pankaj Singh and Ravi Rampaul as foreign player. They also got Sandeep Warrier. So many pacers are going to be left out from playing X1. Its only fair they give some of them to other teams.

  • RahulKrS on February 3, 2013, 8:05 GMT

Aaron Finch, Quinton de Kock, Martin Guptill !!! No takers for them !!!!! and Bollinger !!!!

  • dailtire on February 3, 2013, 8:02 GMT

clever buy by rcb.what a waste of money delhi. i expected parera to cross 1m mar.also can't believe de kock went unsold at 20k.that kid is clean striker and good wicketkeeper.

  • Shishank on February 3, 2013, 7:58 GMT

Guptill going unsold. Unbelievable. Who is at the decision making helm at these franchises. Brainless people.

  • on February 3, 2013, 7:51 GMT

Wow, some of these franchise owners are just plain dumb. They seem to stubbornly go after the guys they wanted in advance, even if the price rises out of control, rather than having a back-up plan.

Some of the great players left unsold are amazing, while others are really over-priced.

I think a lot of it is naivete on the part of the franchise owners - they just aren't used to this auction situation (although you would think they would be by now.

  • on February 3, 2013, 7:50 GMT

Aaron Phangiso is best bowler.....some one could have bought him....

  • COOLANKA on February 3, 2013, 7:45 GMT

  • xylo on February 3, 2013, 7:42 GMT

IPL being the relationships mender, with Bhajji and Symmonds being in the same team, it would have been nice to have Benn and Steyn in the same team as well. ;-)

  • on February 3, 2013, 7:40 GMT

Wow dirk nannes Welcome to CSK man.......

  • vishu29nov on February 3, 2013, 7:39 GMT

Though RCB already had good bowlers in their lineup, but we all witnessed last year that bowling was the only weak link of RCB, with RP Singh, Pankaj, Jayadev and Ravi Rampaul in the squad, now they enjoy more options and I think it should be enough to convert weak link into strong one

  • HARIRAMKRISH on February 3, 2013, 7:39 GMT

What is wrong with Royal Challengers? They already have at least 5 Indian fast bowlers in their team in Zaheer Khan, Vinay Kumar, Sreenath Aravind, Abhimanyu Mithun & P Parameswaran. And they have gone ahead and bought 3 more Indian Quicks in the auction by bidding for RP Singh, Jaydev Unadkat and Pankaj Singh. They have also added Ravi Rampaul. How many are they going to play in their team? It is sad to see so many promising Indian Fast Bowlers warming the bench.

  • mdzakk on February 3, 2013, 7:38 GMT

CSK should have gone for Moises Henriques at half the price of Nannes. Moises single handedly won many matches.

  • JJMFC on February 3, 2013, 7:38 GMT

What is RCB doing? Look at the Indian fast bowling options they have now : Zaheer Khan, RP, Jayadev, Pankaj Singh, Vinay Kumar, Prashant Parameswaran, Sandeep Warrier (Find of last Ranji Season), Harshal Patel, Sreenath Aravind, Mithun! There might be someone I missed! Out of 10 how many would play?

  • wrighty1012 on February 3, 2013, 7:38 GMT

This bidding is farcical. Don't IPL franchises watch anything but Indian cricket? Aaron finch, herschelle gibbs, O'keefe, de kock, christian, philander, bollinger, wade among others all unsold whilst the likes of Gony, Nayar, Tyagi and Singh all go well above what they're worth. Very Strange.

  • vishu29nov on February 3, 2013, 7:32 GMT

smart buy by Sunrises, Nathan McCullum is a good T20 all rounder, a T20 specialist and he has good experience of IPL, he understands the Indian conditions and will be a good asset for Hyderbad

  • xylo on February 3, 2013, 7:29 GMT

  • Bruisers on February 3, 2013, 7:12 GMT

  • on February 3, 2013, 7:08 GMT

Maxwell is the "Yusuf Pathan" of this auction. Probably with the same results, once the next IPL games start! Do MI know what it is doing, first in buying non-playing support cast, now for the players -- whether they will ever play or just warmthe bench! For, some buying is a psychotherapy!

  • Mrkandy on February 3, 2013, 7:07 GMT

How can a man who has played less than 10 odis and IT20s gets a million and mind u has played jus 15 first class matches. Then that faulkner.. What has he done. Someone needs to ge a grip. Shame how moneys being spent

  • Ajayvs on February 3, 2013, 7:02 GMT

I'm surprised Kushal Perera and Mathew Wade went unsold. From what I saw in the recent Aus-Lanka bilateral series, Kushal has oodles of talent. At $20k, he would have been a steal.

Rubbish delhi. Already KP, morne, warner, ross, van de merwe, mahela, russel and you go for ryder and botha? you are making them carry drinks. end of it.

  • sureshanand on February 3, 2013, 7:00 GMT

Mumbai have made a mistake... They will definitely play malinga and Pollard at any cost.. now Adding Ponting and maxwell, they will still have Mitchell Johnson, Clint Mckay , Robin Peterson , davy Jacobs etc... and Aiden Blizzard as well... they will have a big trouble makin em all play !

  • microhardly on February 3, 2013, 6:58 GMT

Quinton de Kock unsold at 20k$ ??? ...unbelievable. Cricketing logic seems to go out of toss. Over the hill Pontig purchased at 400K ???...NO.1 business house making such decisions...whooo

  • on February 3, 2013, 6:57 GMT

CSK should go for Ajantha mendis

  • on February 3, 2013, 6:45 GMT

Ryder was the bargain of the year. Maxwell doesn't deserve to carry his drinks.

  • on February 3, 2013, 6:42 GMT

    great start by Sunrisers :-)

  • Humdingers on February 3, 2013, 6:31 GMT

Maxwell??? $1Million??? You have got to be joking.

  • Zak- on February 3, 2013, 6:28 GMT

You have to wonder what these guys doing the bidding watch. Must be football, or hockey. Very unlikely to be any cricket.

  • RISHI2016 on February 3, 2013, 6:27 GMT

somehow i feel it would be great that all indian talents play for chennai super kings and thats how they can be selected for Team India and gain the confidence required ... abhishek nayar sorry yu goin to play not for them

  • vak1997 on February 3, 2013, 6:26 GMT

Thank You MI, we wanted to see Ponting in action...

  • pitch_curator on February 3, 2013, 6:25 GMT

I hope Hyderabad has enough players in the squad to put a 11 on the field. :-)

  • on February 3, 2013, 6:17 GMT

thats a big bid for maxwell as i seem him only as batsman

    not a genuine allrounder

  • JBSA on February 3, 2013, 6:17 GMT

Mumbai once again going for star power rather than the team's needs. RR r doing well. but sun risers need to bid somemore aggressively

  • __PK on February 3, 2013, 6:13 GMT

Pomersbach a great buy for Kings XI. He was awesome at the pointy end of the BBL, smashing Qld into the final and then totally changing up his game to hold the innings together in the final and letting others slog around him. Well done to him for getting $300k. AND he gets to play for Preity Zinta, best of all.

  • kareemshaik2009 on February 3, 2013, 6:06 GMT

sunrisers not bidding, its really they are sleeping

  • on February 3, 2013, 6:06 GMT

    pune should go with jesse

  • priceless1 on February 3, 2013, 6:05 GMT

why all these Aussie players getting sold at a higher prices ? they have a terrible T20 side and most of the players are seem to be in out of form

  • kshire on February 3, 2013, 6:01 GMT

May be mumbai saving money for a number opener, they always had to deal wid this issue

  • Bevkc on February 3, 2013, 5:59 GMT

Live streaming of auction is available in youtube

  • vak1997 on February 3, 2013, 5:53 GMT

if Mi really needed an opener or a top-order batsman they should have gone to Martin Guptill. Ponting seems to be out of touch...

  • parens on February 3, 2013, 5:50 GMT

Last time delhi didnt play red hot morkel on an important match because pathan was injured!!! getting good players is no guarantee of success

  • ankursilverstone on February 3, 2013, 5:48 GMT

every team can play 4 overseas player...delhi having warner KP mahela ross morkel...whom will u ask to sit jst to let in botha

  • on February 3, 2013, 5:46 GMT

Risers need a good indian bowler and a indian batsmen in middle order ...

  • swap111nil on February 3, 2013, 5:43 GMT

As far as ponting is concerned....i just wanna say "I TOLD YOU SO.."

  • CricEshwar on February 3, 2013, 5:40 GMT

  • yogi.s on February 3, 2013, 5:29 GMT

Any takers for wasim jaffer ?

  • swap111nil on February 3, 2013, 5:29 GMT

My gut feeling says, ponting not to go for more than the base price.

  • ashu5341 on February 3, 2013, 5:27 GMT

is alex hales up for auction??

  • swap111nil on February 3, 2013, 5:24 GMT

I really hope MI go for ryder, he may be inconsistent but might prove the perfect foil for sachin.!!

  • yogi.s on February 3, 2013, 5:23 GMT

With Tom Moody at the helm for sunrisers there could be a few Sri Lankan players like thisara perera, thirimanne, jevvan mendis they might be targeting.

  • leleraja on February 3, 2013, 5:22 GMT

Club loyalty is very important. We hope to see some players retained for 2014

  • rajeshmc24 on February 3, 2013, 5:20 GMT

When will the show start and which channel??

  • swap111nil on February 3, 2013, 5:20 GMT

I think appointing Sachin back is gonna prove a masterstroke, now they can spend the 2 mil on finding a hard hitting opener and filling other voids in the team. Now they can chuck bhajji when required to. He was just awful last yr.

  • yogi.s on February 3, 2013, 5:18 GMT

Thirimanne , darren bravo, moises henriques, josh hazlewood might not be fancied by many but could be value for money kind of players.

  • yogi.s on February 3, 2013, 5:13 GMT

Darren bravo might be a smart pick for a team like Rajasthan Royals, he was the MVP for T&T in the recent domestic league.

  • anuajm on February 3, 2013, 5:12 GMT

Any idea which channel is showing the auctions?

  • sampu_sheikh on February 3, 2013, 5:12 GMT

As a Hyderabad fan, I would liike them to focus on buying these top players. Thisara Perara - handy bowler and can change games with the bat Rangana Herath - good bowler to keep things tight, complements Steyn Abhishek Nayar - need a good Indian player, in good form with bat and ball RP Singh - good IPL experience with Hyderabad grounds, backup Indian bowler Darren Sammy - talented captain who can chip in with runs and wickets Vernon Philander - imagine him and Steyn together!!

  • keecha on February 3, 2013, 5:10 GMT

The hot pursuits will be AM nayar, Pankaj Singh, RP Singh, Unadkat, S Randiv, Clarke, Powel and Gony
