Every player has a right to his opinion and i support dravids'...with that said, shane watson is the original culprit here. He luvs giving batsmen send off when he gets them out, he did it to chirs gayle in a test match in Australia a couple years ago, he did it all through the T20 world cup, and he was even doing it this match.... At the end of the day he got a taste of his own medicine.... But dravid didnt call names did he, who knows he might be referring to watson as well...
Dravid clearly mentioned if a batsman get out and is off d field so calling Pollard Coward is True. Sayin somethin in the field is part and parcel of the game thats too is true.. those who feels Dravid is wrong plse listen it again..
Seems Mr. Dravid is very emotional for Watson and is ready to fight for him whether on the field with Bisla and Gauti or off the field calling Pollard Coward. Real Gentleman of Indian cricket.
To all that say Dravid didn't see Watto's send off to Maxwell or any other, note that Dravid, in his response, doesn't single out Pollard's response alone. He says, in general, it's an act of cowardice. He probably is referring to Watto's reaction as well.
to be fair... he didnt name any player...so the "act of cowardice" comment applies to watson as much as it applies to pollard or anyone for that matter. secondly, the smart guy that he is, he made it amply clear that it's his PERSONAL opinion.
You reap what you sow. What Watto did to Maxwell was returned to him in the same coin. I feel it is time we start using Yellow and Red CARDS for Cricket matches too. There should be some limit even for sledging. Kashinath
To be fair Watson has got the taste of his medicine. I don't see anything wrong that happened to him. We can blame Pollard if he had done the same to other player. After that incident Watson might have known what do other players feel when he behaved wildly on the field. It is too much to call that an act of cowardice and that too by a person of Dravid's stature
With due respect to Dravid, he should even check on what Watson did when Glenn Maxwell was given out LBW. Donno what he was thinking but seems like he lost his cool even at the press conference.
Dravid said only sledging even after a batsman is out of the field is cowardice not when he is in the field. if the batsman in the field it may be considered as mind game. but after that its just a stupidity of player . thats it.
always respected dravid and to some extent I agree with his point. but did he not see the send off watson gave to maxwell?? if you watch the highlights, its clear for all to see
