Ok, on your marks now. Pondulkar (it's got to be a plural) are here. Nannes, bowling in yellow this year..Two slips

Adithya: "Mm, just a question. Has there been any instance of a team playing with 9, 10 or 11 Indian players with 2, 1 or 0 overseas players?" ---- Good question Adithya, now can I have the answer choices please?

Siddhesh v: "Here ya go for choices @ Aditya's Q: A) Are you kidding me?! There is a better chance of a team sneaking in a 5th overseas player B) Who cares about rules in the IPL? C) Eh? What was the question again?"

Mumbai Indians have won the toss and they will bat first . MI have heard Anurag Acharya, they have brought in Dwayne Smith for Oram and they have also replaced Bumrah with Ojha. Dhoni says he would have bowled first because dew is going to be a factor. Hussey, Nannes, Bravo and Laughlin the four overseas players for CSK.

J R Rajan: "Dew in Chennai? Is there no limit to Dhoni's jokes?"

Sriram: "@J R Rajan: Dew has always been there in Chennai during late hours. However given the season, I would fear the sweat more than the due. MI bowlers are sure to get drenched...I am not even able to sit idle since morning in Chennai, requiring AC throughout"

N Srinivash: "Strange thing to see an Aussie captain in blue while a Indian captain wearing Yellow. Anything is possible in IPL"

kunal kumar: "hell yeah........Danny is back!!!....how i missed you all this while......now where's Pommy???"

Dev: "Pommy is in SA for RAM slam T20 and final is this sunday. hope he will join IPL next Monday :)"

Vijay: "Are they waiting for the other match to end before coming for the toss? I'm waiting to see Pondulkar again!" -- Pondulkar, lovely.. I am going to call them Pondulkar from now on..

Aritra Dutta: "@Vijay, don't you think "Tenting" is a more catchy nickname for the opening duo than "Pondulkar"?" --- Aritra, I am with Vijay on this, Pondulkar it is going to be for me today.

Ross Lawson: "Too early to call CSK tournament favorites? Such a strong blend of Indian and overseas talent."

Prashant: "Ross,"do you bribe the commentatory. Writers over here?" I guess i m seeing ur comment 3 matches in a row :("

Rags: "Ok ('Acharya') Anurag Acharya, sending you my Horoscope...!!!!!!!"

Don: "Anurag is dead right with combination of the team.......i thimk he called ponting and then commented..."

yazir: "annoyed with fantasy when there's two games played, you cant make changes, how are we supposed to know who is playing when they release the squad 10 mins before the game"

Good evening everybody, this is doctor Nick Riviera. Isn't this the game we have all been waiting for- between two biggies? One with a couple of titles, the other with an empty bag; one with a powerful T20 batting line-up, the other with cricket's two run-machines. Mumbai were routed the other day, but they have had a chance to assess the new leadership. They are taking on the yellow fellows, who are playing their first match of the competition. Fingerlinking good..

Anurag Acharya: "Here's my team before it is declared: Dwayne Smith needs to come in for Oram today and open with Sachin. Ponting at 3. And if the pitch is dry, Ojha for either Bumrah or Munaf." -- Thanks Anurag, I got your message (a few times). Now we should hope Mumbai Indians are reading this so that they can make the change as suggested by you..

Nishith: "And to add onto what Anurag suggested - For the love of God get Pollard to bat earlier."

Mumbai have put up a competitive total, thanks to a super innings from Kieron Pollard as there wasn't anything else in the innings. They were six down for only 83 in the 12th over, but Pollard played some smart cricket and balanced them with some timely hits. He got some useful support from Harbhajan Singh at the other end and the final total is actually better than what they would have hoped for at the halfway stage. Still a few runs short though..

Hari : "A statement for MI management from Pollard, if they had wickets in hand think about this man, playing high up the order, no.3 or 4 should be his spot."

Vishnu: "Pollard, Bravo, Cooper, Russel, Samuels, Badree, Naraine, Gayle .. Does anyone need an explanation why WI are the T20 champions?"

Farhan: "I being a Pakistan love watching IPL. But today watching two team mates exchanging words is absurd."

swarooph: "Come on Farhan, a little nice banter here and there does no harm and at least validates the true competition ! They laughed it off and shook their hands after the innings so all is well !"

Allan Alexander: "Despite the early setback, the batsmen have given Mumbai a score that is competitive that they should be able to defend. It is up to the bowlers and fielders now."

Josh: "While this is far from an easily defensible total, you can't help wonder if the biggest advantage CSK have this year is no Sri Lankan's playing in Chennai. Malinga would certainly make this total far more imposing."

End of over 20 (15 runs) Mumbai Indians 148/6
