Punjab have won the toss and they will bowl first. Teams have been updated - look up (^^)

First surprise of the day, today Sunrisers are fielding Cameron White as the captain. There has been a lot of rain in Mohali and the pitch has soaked some of the moisture, looks like it is going to be a bowler's game today. Punjab have included Sandeep Sharma, the India Under-19 bowler, among other changes which we will update as soon as we get the team sheets. David Hussey is also sitting out.

Madhav: "Sandeep Sharma playing today. In other words, KXIP is playing with 2 Praveen Kumars."

Ajit: "So SRH replace one non-performing foreign player with another... That's just great!! Why can't they have Sammy as captain and play somebody else who'll actually make a difference?!"

Bondhu: "Whats the significance of (1) after Sandeep Sharma?" --- Bandhu, that means that he is the one..

Ayush: "Smart move by KXIP to include Pomersbach. With 2 leggies in SRH, the ball will turn into them, and thus shot making gets easier. I have a feeling Vihari will bowl a lot today."

Sunrisers have left out Ashish Reddy (due to injury) and have brought in Biplab Samantray.

Gonzo: "If Sanga gets yet another chance after 120 runs in 9 innings at a strike rate of 88.... I'll burn my toast in protest."

Abhijeet Pawar: "When Parthiv Patel is your top scorer you need to have your team examined. cc Sangakkara"

Amila: "@Gonzo and White is not far behind from Sanga 8 innings 123 runs and strike rate is just below 97"

Harsha: "You just got a blunder :P Risers left out Ashish Reddy and brought in Samantray" ---- Thanks Harsha and Bala, I thought no one was watching.

Welcome to the world of non-stop cricket.. Pune's ashes are still hot and here we have another contest about to start - Sunrisers v Kings XI. At least this match has some meaning. Sunrisers need to catch up with the top four and a win here will bring them on par with Royal Challengers. Kings XI have a tougher task ahead; they need to win everything that comes their way.

4.1

Harmeet Singh to Dhawan, OUT, he gets a wicket first ball! Dhawan comes forward to the length delivery on the stumps, just punches it back to the bowler, who bends down low on his follow through and grabs on to the opportunity. Big wicket this one. Ricky: "@abhi- you are true in one sence. But come on- players like Johnson/ watson/ Hussey- look at the IPL records for this session- They are leading run scorers / wicket takers. They are good buys for the team. Also look at the stunners they catch... It awsome to see... U look that cricket... had you seen PK on second over at the boundary, if it was some of these players, they would have Parthiv patel would have gone by now and may be SRH would have been 22/2 by now..."

Bartar: "@abhi and tarun- these domestic aussies have scored more than 2500 runs together .. 300 more than RCB together..with Mr cricket Hussey leading the charts.. u may even ask gayle not to play IPL since he is not in west indian national team. even likes of rohit sharma, dinesh karthik aren't permanent members of Indian team... Acceleratii Incredibulus: "Era's of dominance? How long did the Sharmas' era last? A series? 1 year of IPL? All due respect to the players in the pack, but the true dominance comes not with the surnames, but with sporting spirit and leadership influence. Goosebumps is what I get when they say "Kapil's Devils". That's what I call dominance.."

Naveen: "A score of 130 or less in the 1st innings has been the secret to SRH wins this season. Perera Should keep this in mind."

17.1

Kumar to Perera, SIX, long on can watch as this is full and was asking to be hit, Perera gets under it slams it into the stands again

17.2

Kumar to Perera, no run, bowls a yorker this time, just outside off and not much Perera can do about it.. He digs it out down the pitch

17.3

17.4

Kumar to Perera, 1 run, another full toss on the pads, Praveen is lucky this time as Perera smacks it straight to the deep midwicket fielder

Razi: "@Naveen : Yeah! SRH may even consider declaring the innings once they reach 130. Go Risers!! :D"

17.5

Kumar to Patel, 1 run, he gets to his fifty with a neat flick to deep midwicket off a low full toss

17.6

Kumar to Perera, 2 runs, full delivery on the pads, Perera aims for the stands but inside edges it towards midwicket. The fielders are all deep so they come back for a couple

End of over 18 (14 runs) Sunrisers Hyderabad 128/6 (RR: 7.11)
NLTC Perera    24* (13b 1x4 2x6)      P Kumar    3-0-26-0
PA Patel    50* (44b 4x4 1x6)      P Awana    4-0-35-1

Mohan: "Very good innings from P Patel. He has to repeat the same like rahne for RR. SRH should not ask P Patel to go for hitting, So that innings can be build like today..."

18.1

Harmeet Singh to Patel, SIX, fuller length outside off, now Patel starts swinging. He makes room and tonks that over cover, it just clear the rope

18.6

Harmeet Singh to Perera, 1 run, OUT, full outside off, the batsman drives it powerfully to long off. But Parthiv calls for a second, hoping for a bad throw maybe, because that was straight to the fielder. The fielder made only a slight fumble there, but the throw came in flat and high. Harmeet had enough time to take the bails off and Parthiv was nowhere near

PA Patel run out 61 (91m 47b 5x4 2x6) SR: 129.78

End of over 19 (14 runs) Sunrisers Hyderabad 142/7 (RR: 7.47)

19.5

Kumar to Steyn, 1 bye, bowls a slower delivery wide outside off, the batsman wanted to smack it down the ground but played too early.. They steal a bye anyway to get Perera back into strike

19.6

Kumar to Perera, 1 bye, he bowls a good yorker this time that goes between the batsman and his left stump, they steal another bye this time. Praveen had a lot of time to take the stumps off after the throw came from the keeper, but he wasn't in control of the ball for a while and that allowed Thisara to get it

Halfway through, 150 never looked possible, but Parthiv Patel, Karan Sharma and then Perera made sure their bowlers have a decent total to defend. Back in 10 minutes..

Chandler Bing: "In this year's IPL the only decisions the umpires seem to be giving correctly are that of boundary's only. For that to they are receiving the 3rd umpire's assistance in most times."
