75.5 to Kulkarni, tossed up delivery and Kulkarni uses his feet and hits it in the air and back to Joshi, who takes the catch, appeals for the catch, Kulkarni waits, umpire Saheba is not sure, he checks with the square leg umpire and then goes for the third umpire, the red light comes on and Kulkarni has to go. 229/9

10.1 to Vinay Kumar, the nightwatchman goes, a good short delivery and Vinay fends at it and off the glove the ball lobs up to short leg and Nayar gobbles up an easy catch, good early breakthrough for Agarkar and Mumbai. 26/2

3.2 to Uthappa, Uthappa has a walk back, the crowd is stunned, short of a length delivery pitches and moves away to takes the outside edge as Uthappa is rooted to the crease, the ball carries to Jaffer at second slip, who takes the catch low down in front of him. Kulkarni squared Uthappa with a wonderful delivery. 10/1

44.5 to Gautam, Karnataka slide further as Kulkarni bowls one on a good length and induces the leading edge out of Gautam who is looking to flick it away. Jaffer safely pockets it at second slip. We can safely assume that Mumbai are sailing toiwards a first innings lead 120/8

21.5 to Ganesh Satish, fuller delivery outside the off stump and Ganesh pushes forward for the drive and gets the outside edge to Khanvilkar at third slip, who takes the catch low down in front of him, excellent stuff. 53/3

21.6 to Pandey, lovely bowling this, the big wicket of Manish Pandey, pitches outside the off stump and strikes the pad, loud appeal and given by the umpire Saheba, a marginal decision. A big blow for Karnataka. 53/4

23.6 to Pawan, too full and swinging away outside the off stump and Pawan drives in the air to mid-off and Powar takes a wonderful catch, the ball was dying and he dives to his left and takes the catch inches off the ground, excellent stuff. Karnataka dig deeper into trouble. 58/5

45.1 to Joshi, well Salvi was working on this line from the previous over. Outside the off stump and moving away a touch. Joshi moves across and hangs his bat. All he gets is an outside edge back to the keeper 120/9

49.3 to Mithun, and Salvi has five! He pitches one on the off stump and gets it to move in a touch. Mithun looks like he is playing for the straight delivery and is rapped above the knee roll. Salvi is happy and Mumbai fielders converge in a huddle for a job well done 130/10

55.5 to Iqbal Abdulla, lovely delivery pitches outside the off stump and brings the ball back in, Abdulla plays forward and the ball takes the inside edge of the bat and Gautam takes a good catch to his right. A swift knock from Abdulla comes to an end. A tentative push from him. 172/8

82.3 to Kulkarni, Kulkarni goes after a brave knock and under pressure. Short outside the off stump and Kulkarni cuts or rather glides it towards gully and Pawan gobbles up the catch. A great knock comes to an end, well played. 233/9

1.5 to Jaffer, lovely delivery pitches outside the off stump and Jaffer goes for the big booming drive through the off side, gets the outside edge and Gautham gobbles up the catch. Jaffer departs early once again. 10/1

3.1 to Rahane, Mithun strikes for the second time, pitches way outside the off stump and back of a length, Rahane follows the delivery and feels for it and finds the outside edge to Gautham behind the wicket, wonderful bowling. 18/2

3.2 to Khanvilkar, lovely delivery on the stumps and Khanvilkar on the move forward looking to defend, misses the bat and strikes the pad in line, loud shout and given by the umpire, wonderful stuff from Mithun, two in two for him and his third wicket of the match. 18/3

17.4 to Samant, Mithun strikes once again, picks up his fourth wicket, good short delivery on the ribs and Samant fends at it with one hand off the bat and gets the edge to Ganesh at short leg, a big wicket and Samant walks back to the pavilion. 51/5

49.4 to Agarkar, another wonderful delivery from back of a length and squares up Agarkar and the ball lobs up on the off side, Uthappa from short cover dives forward and takes another wonderful catch inches off the ground. Agarkar goes, he has lot of words to say, points fingers and walks off, a five wicket haul for Mithun. 150/7

83.3 to Salvi, well that ends the Mumbai innings. A short delivery from round the stumps and angled into the body of Salvi, who takes his body out of the way but the bat is in line, the ball takes the edge and through to Verma at first slip. Mithun ends up with 6 wickets for the innings and 9 for the match, wonderful bowling. 234/10

48.5 to Nayar, tossed up delivery and Nayar charges down the track and hits in the air down to long on, Pandey running around jumps in the air and in a horizontal position and takes an amazing catch, superman effort, wonderful. Lifts the boys in the Karnataka team. No words to describe it. It has been referred to the third umpire to check if the catch had been taken cleanly, I thought it was brilliant and Nayar has to go as umpire Saheba gets the answer from the third umpire. 146/6

0.6 to Gautam, a terrible shot on a terrible delivery, too short and too wide outside the off stump, Gautam goes after it and cuts it, gets the bottom of the bat and goes to Jaffer at second slip, who takes a comfortable catch. Agarkar strikes in his very first over. 1/1

17.4 to Pawan, lovely delivery from Agarkar and he picks up the second wicket and his second, pitches outside the off stump and nips back in and strikes Pawan on the pad in line with the off and middle as he looks to defend, loud appeal and given. 42/2

19.5 to Uthappa, a big wicket and Agarkar picks up his third, wonderful bowling, pitches outside the off stump and moves away, draws Uthappa forward and the ball takes the outside edge to Samant behind the wicket, a big blow for Karnataka. 46/3

84.1 to Joshi, Agarkar picks up Joshi, fuller delivery angled across and Joshi looking to drive through the onside, gets the edge to Samant behind the wicket, a poor shot that from Joshi. 303/8

88.4 to Aravind, Agarkar picks up the last and final wicket, gets his fifth, on a good length and Aravind looking to work it through the onside, gets the leading edge back in the air to Agarkar, who jumps up and takes the catch. 331/10
