India v Australia

Match drawn

Overs 1-50  | Overs 51-100  | Overs 101-150

0.3

Khan to Hayden, OUT, and he's given him! Zaheer strikes with his third ball, pitching this one marginally fuller and closer to off stump, forcing Hayden to play at it and there's some deviation, Dhoni takes it low in front of him and they all go up in appeal and after a thought Asad Rauf raises his finger

ML Hayden c †Dhoni b Khan 0 (1m 3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Australia 0/1   SM Katich 0* (0b)   Z Khan 0.3-0-0-1

54.4

Sharma to Katich, OUT, edged and taken, against the run of play! Katich pokes at a good-length ball with minimal footwork and the resultant thick edge is easily taken by Dhoni, after which Katich kicks the ground in disgust and turns for the dressing room .. so Ishant does indeed produce a breakthrough

SM Katich c †Dhoni b Sharma 66 (230m 149b 7x4 0x6) SR: 44.29

Australia 166/2   RT Ponting 94* (176b 12x4)   I Sharma 12.4-2-42-1

78.4

Harbhajan Singh to Ponting, OUT, and Ponting goes lbw! Thats the ninth time he's fallen to Harbhajan in Tests, but perhaps it hit him outside the line ... Harbhajan tosses it up outside off stump, Ponting goes down to sweep, getting his front leg across, but the ball stays low and hits the pad, and after a long thought Asad Rauf gives it out ... I'll need to see replays of that

RT Ponting lbw b Harbhajan Singh 123 (331m 243b 13x4 0x6) SR: 50.61

Australia 226/3   MEK Hussey 30* (78b 3x4)   Harbhajan Singh 20.4-3-68-1

89.2

Khan to Clarke, OUT, and there's one for Zaheer in the last over of the day as well! Zaheer bowls this on a great length, pitching on leg stump, Clarke is late to get the bat down and gets struck flush in front, Zaheer asks the question very confidently and Koerzten slowly lifts his finger

MJ Clarke lbw b Khan 11 (39m 28b 2x4 0x6) SR: 39.28

Australia 254/4   MEK Hussey 46* (115b 5x4)   Z Khan 17.2-4-39-2

92.3

Sharma to Watson, OUT, but he's gone now! Ishant strikes early into the day, pitching it on a good length, on the upright seam, getting the ball to come back in and a feeble Watson half-heartedly pokes at it and the ball nips back past the edge to clip off stump

SR Watson b Sharma 2 (15m 14b 0x4 0x6) SR: 14.28

Australia 259/5   MEK Hussey 49* (120b 5x4)   I Sharma 17.3-4-49-2

122.6

Sharma to Haddin, OUT, slower ball bamboozles Haddin! Ishant rolls his fingers across this one, pitching on a good length and Haddin is into the shot a day too early and tries to half-drive but finds Laxman stationed at short cover

BJ Haddin c Laxman b Sharma 33 (126m 110b 4x4 0x6) SR: 30.00

Australia 350/6   MEK Hussey 101* (194b 11x4)   I Sharma 26-7-66-3

126.5

Sharma to White, OUT, slow death again, loopy slower delivery, same one as to Haddin, White goes for the drive, and loops it to Harbhajan at extra cover. Harbhajan takes a good low catch; the ball was dipping low on him. This is Ishant's fourth wicket, just reward for hard work

CL White c Harbhajan Singh b Sharma 6 (16m 13b 1x4 0x6) SR: 46.15

Australia 362/7   MEK Hussey 107* (204b 12x4)   I Sharma 27.5-7-73-4

147.5

Khan to Lee, OUT, cleaned him! this one stayed a bit low and came in a touch. Lee must have thought this was angling away, and looked to free his arms, but this one, pitched just short of good length, straightened a touch, and squeezed under the backlift to knock the off stump out of the ground

B Lee b Khan 27 (88m 61b 4x4 0x6) SR: 44.26

Australia 421/8   MEK Hussey 139* (269b 14x4 1x6)   Z Khan 28.5-4-91-3

149.1

Khan to Johnson, OUT, Zak you beauty, big reverse swing! Full, around off stump, swinging in towards Johnson, and swinging in late. Inside edge takes the off stump out

MG Johnson b Khan 1 (7m 4b 0x4 0x6) SR: 25.00

Australia 429/9   MEK Hussey 146* (273b 15x4 1x6)   Z Khan 29.1-4-91-4

149.5

Khan to Hussey, OUT, Zak has done it again. A bit wider this time, swinging in again, with the shine, Hussey goes for a drive, but gets an inside edge onto middle stump. What an innings, though, take a bow Mr Cricket. His best score against India, and all through the innings he has never looked like getting out

MEK Hussey b Khan 146 (402m 276b 15x4 1x6) SR: 52.89

Australia 430/10   SR Clark 0* (1b)   Z Khan 29.5-4-91-5
