MJ Clarke lbw b Mishra 23 (77m 60b 3x4 0x6) SR: 38.33

There's no doubt in anybody's mind that that the day has belonged to India. Australia trail by 367 runs and have six wickets in hand. All eyes will be on Hussey tomorrow and much will hinge on him. The big difference between the sides today was the movement the seamers managed. Australia struggled to get lateral movement but Zaheer in particular really got the ball to talk. Mishra too has been a handful, picking up two on debut.

Here's Ganguly: " The last session was very vital. Mishra has done well in domestic cricket. It really lifts the team spirit. Kumble has done that for so many years and it's nice to see youngsters step up. This will be my last series, I will not reconsider coming back (smiles). It's been a fantastic batting quartet. Our overseas performances have improved over the last few years. I knew I wasn't going to be selected any more."

Thanks for your company today. Siddarth Ravindran will take over the commentary tomorrow. This is Kanishkaa signing off. Cheers!

Day 3: 9.15 Hello and welcome to Cricinfo's coverage of the third day of the Mohali Test between India and Australia. Australia are under the pump, behind by 367 runs and four wickets down, and much depends on Michael Hussey. He's already got a couple of centuries on this tour and Australia will be hoping for another one from him today.

They might also be wishing Andrew Symonds and Adam Gilchrist were at No. 6 and 7, but Shane Watson and Brad Haddin are no slouches, as they showed with a crucial partnership in the second innings in Bangalore. And there's Cameron White to contend with as well.

It was a dream start for Amit Mishra yesterday, getting a couple of crucial breakthroughs. If you missed yesterday's action, check out Jamie Alter's bulletin.

And for the social networking freaks out there, add Cricinfo Widgets to your page today.
