Mishra to Clarke, no run, oh what a ball to end the day! Mishra gets this one to spin back in off a short length, the wrong 'un, Clarke gets across his stumps and survives with the thinnest of inside edges back onto his pads, else he was a goner

Whew, what a day. Gripping Test cricket. India will take this, having taken only four wickets in the day. The pitch has deteriorated a touch, and Sehwag exploited some rough spots with three wickets. He was the pick of the bowlers. Mishra got the breakthrough by dismissing Katich after an opening stand of 123, but also bowled some poor deliveries as he fatigued. Ishant and Zaheer were excellent after tea but went wicketless. It was Sehwag who reaped the benefits of turning the ball. For Australia, Hayden and Ponting looked set for hundreds but fell to Sehwag. Hussey got a half-century but fell just before stumps. Australia trail by 275 runs and a gripping fourth day beckons. You just have to love Test cricket.

Dhoni lead well after Kumble injured himself and went to the hospital to have a finger looked at. Soon after Sehwag struck, and Dhoni's decision to bring him back after tea got another wicket, following which he entrusted Sehwag with the new ball and he removed Hussey.

Hope you've enjoyed the coverage. On behalf of S Raju, scoring the deliveries, this is your commentator, Jamie Alter, signing off for the day. Do come back see us tomorrow. Good bye!
