Justine had made her way through the age group teams playing for New Zealand Under 23 and New Zealand Emerging Players before being selected for the national team in 1996. She has played 7 one-day internationals and made her test debut in the abandoned test in Melbourne in 1996. After playing in the World Cup in India in December 1997, Justine captained New Zealand A on their short tour to Australia in February 1998.
