TEAMS
Walter Stack was born in Australia but when he was 14 his family returned to England and he finished his education at Dulwich College before he again traveled back to Australia in 1904 where he enrolled at Sydney University to study medicine. He made slow progress, playing sport often seeming as much of a priority, and in 1909-10, after some good performances for the university, he was chosen to play for New South Wales. He played for them intermittently until the Great War, when he enrolled in the AIF. After the war he practised medicine in a variety of places while continuing to play club cricket whenever possible.
