Lloyd Barker was the West Indies' leading umpire in the years before Steve Bucknor took centre stage, standing in 29 Tests and 39 ODIs until he retirement at the end of the 1997 Ashes series. He officiated in the first ever Test between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe at Harare in October 1994.
