Indian Premier League - 43rd match

Royal Challengers Bangalore v Delhi Daredevils

Delhi Daredevils won by 5 wickets (with 10 balls remaining)

4.5

McGrath to Chipli, OUT, got 'em, he's got his man now, short one again and Chipli can't hold back from the pull, the top edge flies high and Rajat Bhatia nearly makes a meal of the skier running back towards midwicket, he slips before taking the catch but holds on despite the tumble. McGrath isn't celebrating - he tells Chipli to stay on and gestures, 'Not out, not out'. He was really peeved with that edge not being given as out.

Royal Challengers Bangalore 31/1   JH Kallis 21* (19b 2x4 1x6)   GD McGrath 2.5-0-5-1

Maharoof to Kallis, OUT, strikes straight away, full and wide, big outside edge as Kallis tries to drive hard and that's a sharp diving catch by Dinesh Karthik behind the stumps, latches onto and important catch and Steve Davis raises his finder this time

JH Kallis c †Karthik b Maharoof 25 (21b 3x4 1x6) SR: 119.04

Royal Challengers Bangalore 41/2   SP Goswami 6* (6b 1x4)   MF Maharoof 0.1-0-0-1

Dilshan to Dravid, OUT, he's got 'em, that was a quicker one and there wasn't much spin there, Dravid tries to heave it over midwicket but that's through the gate and rattles the stump, the Dilshan plan has worked

R Dravid b Dilshan 9 (11b 1x4 0x6) SR: 81.81

Royal Challengers Bangalore 73/3   SP Goswami 29* (24b 4x4 1x6)   TM Dilshan 1-0-3-1

15.1

Maharoof to Goswami, OUT, down the track and tries to clear the midwicket region, bit of extra bounce for Maharoof and the leading edge pops high in the air for Dilshan, at point, to take a comfortable catch. End of a fine innings

SP Goswami c Dilshan b Maharoof 52 (42b 7x4 1x6) SR: 123.80

Royal Challengers Bangalore 102/4   Misbah-ul-Haq 5* (7b)   MF Maharoof 2.1-0-5-2

15.6

Maharoof to Misbah-ul-Haq, 1 run, OUT, disaster this time, fine fielding from Shoaib Malik at long-on and there's a reckless run-out for White, Misbah cracks it to long-off and Malik needed to decide whether to go for the catch or simply stop it, he decided to go for the safer option, picked up and threw it in fast, White wanted the second but Misbah hesitated, the ball went to Maharoof and he threw it to the keeper to take the bails off, White was too far down by then. This is a big wicket, he can really biff it towards the end

CL White run out 1 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 50.00

Royal Challengers Bangalore 105/5   Misbah-ul-Haq 7* (10b)   MF Maharoof 3-0-8-2

17.4

Maharoof to Misbah-ul-Haq, OUT, another run-out, this is just not what you want at the slog, short one that Misbah can't get away, top edge trickles to extra cover, and Misbah doesn't want a run, Akhil is too far down and Maharoof completes a simple run-out

B Akhil run out 3 (3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 100.00

Royal Challengers Bangalore 122/6   Misbah-ul-Haq 21* (17b 1x4 1x6)   MF Maharoof 3.4-0-11-2

18.5

McGrath to Kumar, OUT, sensational bowling this, as lovely a set-up as it gets, short one followed by yorkers, Kumar was softened up early and had no answer to this one - full and swinging into him, he's rooted to the crease and sees the base of off stump being rattled. That's why he's the master.

P Kumar b McGrath 2 (5b 0x4 0x6) SR: 40.00

Royal Challengers Bangalore 126/7   Misbah-ul-Haq 23* (19b 1x4 1x6)   GD McGrath 3.5-0-11-2
