Indian Premier League - 2nd match

Royal Challengers Bangalore v Rajasthan Royals

Royal Challengers Bangalore won by 75 runs

Ready for the start: Ryder and Uthappa will open, and Mascarenhas will start proceedings for Rajasthan

Bangalore team: Uthappa, Ryder, Taylor, Pietersen, Dravid, Kohli, Akhil, Vinay Kumar, Praveen Kumar, Steyn, Kumble

So no Boucher or Kallis.

Rajasthan team: Smith, Asnodkar, Niraj Patel, Jadeja, Mascarenhas, Rawat, Henderson, Pathan, Warne, Kamran Khan, Munaf Patel

The pitch is expected to behave a little slower, but the experts believe it'll play much easier than the first game. There won't be much seam movement, and 160, it appears, will be a challenging score.

We are still waiting for the Xi's, so stay tuned and we'll have them for you as soon as we get them.

Toss: The captains are out. Bangalore have won the toss and opted to bat. Kevin Pietersen is beaming, and doesn't believe the pitch will change much. Steyn, Ryder, Taylor are all playing. Shane Warne says he would have batted first as well, but is confident his bowlers will do well to restrict Pietersen and co.

Hello and welcome to Cricinfo's coverage of the second game of the day between Bangalore Royal Challengers and reigning champions Rajasthan Royals. Lasith Malinga and Abhishek Nayar were the stars for Mumbai Indians in their win over Chennai Super Kings in the first game, and proved that a target in the range of 160 makes for a competitive fixture.

Lots of fresh faces in the Bangalore squad, which was referred to as a "Test team" last year after their disappointing performance. The inclusion of Jesse Ryder, Robin Uthappa and captain Kevin Pietersen, their fans would hope, will put that tag to rest.

We are still a few minutes away from the toss, so you can read the preview to the game in the meantime.

Have you joined the IPL fantasy league yet? It's loads of fun. There are two versions of this for the IPL (Salary cap and Pick 'em). Check it out.

Vinay Kumar, the new man in

19.5

MM Patel to Vinay Kumar, FOUR, shot! Bowled full on middle, he's already walked across, scoops it well over short fine for a boundary

19.6

MM Patel to Vinay Kumar, FOUR, slower ball bowled full outside off, makes room and slices it over point, some atrocious fielding by the deep-point fielder there who palms it to the ropes sliding to his left

Some handy runs towards the end for Bangalore, and though their score doesn't seem substantial, the pitch has gotten slower so it may not be all that easy for the current champions. Dravid was the star with the bat, overcoming all those wickets at the other end to take his team to a competitive score. Mascarenhas and Warne took the bowling honours. Join us in a bit for the run-chase, should be an interesting one this.

DW Steyn    0* (0b)      T Henderson    4-0-30-1
