Indian Premier League - 31st match

Delhi Daredevils v Kolkata Knight Riders

Delhi Daredevils won by 9 wickets (with 6 balls remaining)

Kolkata have made some immediate tweaks to their order, due to the absence of Gayle, and are opening with van Wyk. Nannes to bowl now.

Teams:

Kolkata: Brendon McCullum (capt), MC Henriques, BJ Hodge, SC Ganguly, MN van Wyk (wk), Yashpal Singh, WP Saha , AB Agarkar, M Kartik, I Sharma, AB Dinda

Delhi: Gautam Gambhir (capt), DA Warner, AB de Villiers, TM Dilshan, KD Karthik (wk), M Manhas, R Bhatia, A Mishra, P Sangwan, A Nehra, DP Nannes

The pitch, as the previous game proved, is a good one for batting. It's a new track, with a tinge of green, which did little to upset the Rajasthan batsmen.

Toss: McCullum has won the toss and Kolkata will bat first. Just the one change, Moises Henriques comes in for Gayle who's now with his West Indies team-mates in England. There's another change- Yashpal Singh comes in for Laxmi Ratan Shukla.

Delhi are missing Virender Sehwag for this game, and Gautam Gambhir, like in the last game, remains captain. Their team actually remains unchanged.

Hello and welcome to the coverage of Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knight Riders. The action stays at Kingsmead in Durban.

Time-out and Delhi won't be too disappointed. Kolkata were off to a blazing start, but the wicket of McCullum has resulted in a dip in the scoring. Kolkata do have wickets in hand, and will bank on their two in-form batsmen in the middle to get them to a challenging score. Stay tuned.

Nehra is back

Nahim: "Interesting how two openers returned to form today, Smith and McCullum, and both did so by adopting aggressive approaches. It seems the classic advice of playing yourself in when you're in bad form doesn't really apply in Twenty20? Although it could just be that given the shortness of the format bad form as such doesn't exist in the first place."

MN van Wyk b Nehra 74 (48b 11x4 0x6) SR: 154.16

End of a good innings, but his team probably needed more from the others. 148 in 19.2 overs with just three wickets down is not great going.

Last ball coming up

19.6

Nehra to Henriques, FOUR, too full, made room to loft it between deep cover and long-off for a boundary, nice end but they would have wanted more

Delhi will take this, particularly after having managed just three wickets. Kolkata got bogged down after the loss of each of their first two wickets, with Hodge struggling to get going after the brisk start provided by McCullum, and Henriques taking time, including playing a maiden off Mishra, before opening up. It's a competitive score no doubt, but on a batting pitch it can be overhauled. Join us in a bit for the run-chase.
