Indian Premier League - 36th match

Deccan Chargers v Kings XI Punjab

Kings XI Punjab won by 3 wickets (with 1 ball remaining)

12.27: The batsmen walk out. By the way this is the first game between these sides in this IPL. Strange, after 35 games. Lee has the ball.

12.20: We have the line-ups up above. I'm looking forward to Lee and Symonds. Symonds wasn't exactly very consistent in the UAE but he did play one match winning knock. He needs to recreate the magic of last year. Lee's back from an injury so he may or may not bowl at full throttle.

12.10: This game is rather crucial for Punjab to get their campaign back on track. They lost out to Chennai in a high-scorer in Centurion. Deccan have the momentum with a victory against Mumbai, one which they weren't expected to win at one stage.

A defeat for Punjab will leave them languishing at No.6 and hand them their third loss in a row. A win for Deccan will push them at least to second place. We've seen musical chairs at the top of the points table but the result today will not radically alter the points table. For more read the preview.

Toss: Kings XI Punjab will bowl first. And the big news is that Brett Lee is back. He fills in for Yusuf Abdulla. And Andrew Symonds is back for Deccan Chargers. He takes Dwayne Smith's place.

Few more changes for both teams. For Punjab, Wilkin Mota comes in for Karan Goel and Ramesh Powar replaces VRV Singh who got a real pasting from Dhoni in the last game. For Deccan, Ojha comes back in, for Harmeet Singh.

11.25: The toss is just five minutes away. Remember this is a doub;e header at the De Beers Diamond Oval. Chennai take on Rajasthan after this. There are only three games alloted to this ground so if you're at Kimberley or thereabouts, get a ticket and catch the action.

11.15am: It's match No. 36 of the IPL and the caravan moves to Kimberley for the first time. Right now, Kings XI Punjab take on Deccan Chargers. Still time left for the toss. Sit back, get that cup of coffee and make yourselves comfortable.

Here's an incentive to get you all hooked into the IPL. Join the IPL fantasy league. It's loads of fun and addictive. There are two versions of this for the IPL (Salary cap and Pick 'em). Check it out.

No news yet of Andrew Symonds. He just flew in from Dubai. The question is, who will they leave out to accommodate him?
