Chennai's best chance is through Murali. His line from round the wicket with the two men behind the bat did ask some question.

Mani: "I think Dhoni will certainly regret his decision not to have brought Muralitharan on earlier, because with Dravid and Pandey well at home against the spin of Jakati and Raina it will be difficult to halt their progress."

The tag of the 'Test team' seems a distant memory.

So now we have a new set of finalists. Pandey set it up with a very breezy and stylish 48 before Dravid took over. Chennai were just outplayed and they suffered because Murali didn't have enough support. I agree with a lot of you that he should have been introduced earlier.

Jennings thanks the whole world for supporting his team. He says the team has picked up a lot of fighting. He told Cricinfo yesterday that his team was "tired of losing."

Here's the prez.

Dhoni: "The wicket was a bit slow but they played better cricket score. We were looking for a 160 score but we lost wickets at the wring time. They outplayed us. We were short by 15 runs at least. Bowling was a bit fragile, but we could have made it tougher for them."

Kumble: "One more win will be nice. Their score was not even a par score. Our batsmen backed themselves to clear the boundary. I thought Praveen and Vinay bowled very well at the end."

Pandey is the Man of the Match: "Today I got the license from Anil bhai to hit. I didn't want to get out to Murali and wanted to give Rahul the strike."

Time to catch my breath. Thanks for your company today and the mails. Get set for the final tomorrow between Bangalore and Deccan at the same venue. Cheers guys!
