Shreyas Gopal is a technically-correct batsman who represents Karnataka in the junior-levels. Presently the vice-captain of the Karnataka Under-16s, Shreyas has been among the runs since becoming the youngest cricketer to represent the state in the U-13s [whom he went on to captain] and U-15s. He was the top-scorer in the South Zone U-15 tournament organised by the BCCI in 2006-07, and he was rewarded for his consistency with a berth at the National Cricket Academy's South Zone centre. Shreyas also has the unique distinction of claiming a double hat-trick with his legspin, while playing for Frank Anthony Public School against Presidency School.
