Bangladesh in Ireland T20I Series - 2nd T20I

Ireland v Bangladesh

Bangladesh won by 1 run

Good afternoon and welcome to the 2nd match in the RSA Twenty20 Challenge between Ireland and Bangladesh. My name is Justin Smyth and im going to be bringing you coverage of today's game from a sunny Stormont ground here in Belfast. Yes thats not a typo it is actually sunny here.

The first game on Wednesday was definitely a (Elias) Sunny performance for Bangladesh. Ireland were comprehensively outplayed by the visitors and ended up losing by 71 runs. Bangladesh batted vey well to reach 190 and when they bowled it really was a "death by spin" for the Irish batsmen. Elias Sunny rightly getting the man of the match for his 5-13, the best bowling performance by a Bangladesh player in T20 internationals.

Ireland would have been very disappointed by their performance in their first home T20 game against a full member. Boyd Rankin had been injured for a while so he looked a bit rusty. Ireland's top spinner George Dockrell was also missing. He was playing for Ireland's U-19 team in a warm up match against England's U-19 team After seeing how effective Bangladesh's spinners did on Wednesday you would think that he might be back in the team today.

Ireland will also be looking to get more out of Stirling and Kevin O'Brien. Ireland's two big hitters only scored 4 between them on Wednesday. Stirling has been in fantastic form for Middlesex in T20's so far this year.

The great news for Bangladesh is after this game today they will have played the eight T20 internationals needed to appear on the ICC T20 rankings. Hurrah

The outfield is still looking lovely and green. Hopefully with the sun that we have had over the last couple of days it will have quickened up. The wicket today should be a bit faster too.

We are only a few minutes away from the toss here. I will let you know what has happened soon!

4.30 pm The news from the middle is that Bangladesh have won the toss and are batting. The teams are coming up. The news is that Bangladesh are unchanged from the team that played on Wednesday. Ireland have made a couple of changes to the team. Niall O'Brien and Rankin have dropped out, Poynter and Dockrell come in.

As in the first game there is no tv camera at the game, so sit back and relax and follow the commentary here on ESPNCricinfo. The first ball is going to be bowled at 5.00pm .

4.55pm The good weather today has brought more spectators into the ground and it looks perfect for watching and playing cricket today.

The umpires are on their way out to the middle and here come the players. Running between the cheer leaders lining the boundary. Tamim to face the first ball and Sorensen taking over the new ball duties from Rankin
