Damian Watts was a member of the Western Downs team for the Schaefer Shield competition played at Buderim in November 2000 but on the second day of the competition he was drafted into the South Queensland Under 19 team and subsequently was included in the South Queensland Under 19 team for the Platypus Shield match against North Queensland Under 19 played at Albion. He represented Queensland Under 17 in 2000-01; South Queensland Under 19 and Queensland Country Under 19 in 2001-02; South Queensland in 2002-03. His club cricket is with Railways in Charleville. He is believed to be the first player to be selected into a Queensland representative team while playing his cricket in Charleville, though it has not been possible at this time to thoroughly check all Primary Schools teams. He was a member of the Regional Queensland Academy of Sport Squad in each of 2001 and 2002. He also plays golf, rugby league, and touch.
