European Championship Division One - 7th match

Ireland v Netherlands

Ireland won by 7 wickets (with 126 balls remaining)

9.50am. Good morning! Chris Busby here to bring you coverage of the ODI between Ireland and the Netherlands at Clontarf, Dublin. The ground is currently bathed in sunshine as the groundstaff prepare for the start in about 45 minutes time.

No teams news yet, but with Ireland boosted by the return of their English county based players they are sure to start as favorites, definite info when I get it.

All the players are out on the outfield warming up, with the Irish players looking particularly energetic in their game of touch-rugby- obviously no lessons learnt from the Jimmy Anderson saga earlier this year then!

10.30 News from the middle is that Ireland have won the toss and put the Netherlands in. Ireland are without Eoin Morgan who was injured in the twenty20 final - he is replaced by Gary Wilson. Join us in about 5 minutes when we are due to be underway

6.4

Connell to Reekers, 1 run, single to third man

6.5

Connell to de Grooth, OUT, that's the breakthrough! It wasn't the greatest delivery, in fact it was pretty short and wide. De Grooth can only pick out third man with a tp edged cut shot. Very nicely taken I might add by Cusack

DJ Reekers c McCallan b KJ O'Brien 19 (39m 28b 4x4 0x6) SR: 67.85

The Netherlands really need a partnership here, Ireland have really started well with the ball but the shot selection by the Dutch has been very poor
