A magnificent century from David Massil (110*), and contributions from Anim Solomon (44), Kapila (40*) and Shailesh Bangerra (31) lifted Lions Lod to a total of 292 for 6 against Young Ashdod in Ashdod on Saturday. Aby Aston returned the remarkably economical figures of four for 28 amidst the run feast. Young Ashdod replied with 187, losing by 105 runs, with Solomon completing a good game with three for 41.

Ramla defeated Ra'anana by 64 runs at Hadar Yosef on Friday. Both Isaac Talkar (43) and Isaac Samson (48) batted responsibly to lift Ramla to 204 in their 40 overs. Ra'anana's top order crumbled for the second time this season, slumping to 30 for 3, before a fourth wicket stand of 48 stand between Steven Shein and Gabi Schachat put the innings back on track. However Sunny Samson (3 for 21) removed Shein (15) just after the second drinks break, and although Schachat battled on in scoring a classy 75, none of the other batsman offered significant support against a typically disciplined Ramla attack.

In the one Division two fixture played over the weekend, Kiryat Gat defeated Dimona A by 8 wickets in Dimona on Saturday. Ezekiel Ezekiel (48) and Yaniv Barad (56) took the hosts to a respectable score of 189, but Kiryat Gat raced to the win inside 20 overs to collect maximum batting points. Avshalom Sankar (69*), Avi Digorkar (44) and Noel Waskar (30*) all scored runs for the visitors.
