Neil Kendrick joined Glamorgan in 1995 after spending 10 years on the Surrey staff. The left arm spinner made his first-class debut in 1988 and in 1993 took a career best 7-115 against Not- tinghamshire at The Oval. However, limited opportunities at the London club led to his move west along the M4 and over the Severn Bridge, and he was given a run in the Glamorgan eleven in Championship matches during 1995. He reminded his former employ- ers of his ability with the bat by hitting a championship best 59 in the match at The Oval, but overall his 27 wickets that season came at 46.48 apiece. He had restricted opportunities in 1996, taking a further 17 wickets, at a shade over 40, and was released at the end of the season.
