Obuya suspended for two matches
Collins Obuya, the Kenya captain, has been suspended by Cricket Kenya following an altercation with team-mate Irfan Karim, and will miss the first two warm-up games of the World Twenty20 qualifiers, in the UAE.
Obuya will miss warm-up games against Namibia and Hong Kong on November 12 and 13, but is likely to be available for Kenya's first game of the tournament, against Papua New Guinea on November 15.
The incident between the players took place on Kenya's recent tour to Sri Lanka. Karim was also handed a one-match ban by Cricket Kenya's disciplinary committee, which met on Friday.
"Both players have been warned that any future misbehaviour will land a stiffer action being taken against them," the committee said in a statement.
Obuya took over as Kenya captain in July 2011, replacing Jimmy Kamande who was removed following the side's poor performance in the 2011 World Cup. Obuya, who made his T20 debut in September 2007, has captained Kenya in 13 matches.
