Profile

Arthur Knight played four times for Hampshire as an amateur batsman either side of the Great War, captaining them twice in 1921 and 1923. He was best known, however, as a footballer, winning 30 amateur caps for England as well as playing all three matches as England won gold at the 1912 Olympics. He also played at the 1920 Olympics. He won one full cap, against Northern Ireland in 1920. Originally from Surrey, he moved to Portsmouth in 1908 and played for them until 1922 after which time he played for the Corinthians.
