Vicky Strode

Charlbury ladies' captain for over 10 years and a member of the men's 3rd XI for five, Strode is in the midst of a two-year spell as Oxfordshire women's captain. She is no longer the most mobile of athletes and relies on my super young team to run around for her. Her bowling style is unconventional, and she ends up kissing her feet in her followthrough, so doesn't get many caught-and-bowleds! She is competitive but also likes to see the team laughing and enjoying their games. Her cricketing highlights are 4 for 13 and 76 not out against Oxford and a couple of hat-tricks for Oxfordshire.
