Judah Reuben umpired ten Tests between 1969 and 1977, but is best remembered as being one of the officials during the Vaseline incident involving England's John Lever in 1976-77. That was his last Test as he had reached the compulsorily retirement age of 55. His first match, involving Australia at Eden Gardens in 1969-70, was equally memorable as there was a riot. He was a finger print expert in the Mumbai police.
