Kenneth Robin Deas, who died on October 20 in Auckland, New Zealand aged 73, was a middle-order right-hand batsman and left-arm spinner from Papatoetoe, New Zealand. He played 16 games for Auckland between 1947-48 and 1960/61, and also made a couple of first-class appearances for Scotland in 1955 and 1956 when he-. was working as an industrial chemist in Dunfermline and playing for the local club and Fifeshire. In his whole first-class career Deas scored 522 runs at an average of 17.40, with a best score of 73 for Auckland against Canterbury at Auckland in 1950-51, and took nine wickets at 34.77 with a best innings analysis of 4 for 81 for Auckland versus Wellington in 1960-61.
