TEAMS
Fred Dobson, who died at his home in Burley, Hants on October 15, three days
after his 82nd birthday, played three matches for Warwickshire in 1928, when
his left-arm spinners brought him seven wickets at 19.72 apiece. Law work prevented his regular appearance and after his taste of county cricket he preferred the game at Second XI level. He was proud of the fact that he played against a Gloucestershire Gentlemen's team which included W. G. Grace (and actually bowled against WG), while in 1923 he played in a match in North Wales in which appeared S. F. Barnes and L. N. Constantine.
