Ghulam Mohammad toured England with the Maharajah of Porbandar's All India team in 1932, securing his place with seven wickets in the final Test trial. He proved a big disappointment, taking only three wickets in first-class matches at a cost of 95.33 runs each, but on the matting pitches of his own country he achieved much success with left-arm deliveries of medium pace.
