Profile

Mike Hayward had his cricket career ruined due to a terrible motorcycle accident. He is a tall strapping fast bowler who as an 18-year-old for the SA Schools XI in 1989 had the likes of Clive Rice hopping around the crease in a match against Transvaal (now Gauteng). The accident left him with back injuries which curtailed a promising career. He still finds time to play the odd club game but has since turned his sights to an already promising schoolboy coaching career.
