Stephan Smith was named in South Africa's squad for the Under-19 World Cup in early 2010 after playing just one limited-overs fixture for his state. Born into a sporting family - his father played for Namibia - Smith made his first-class debut for Free State in November 2009 and was South Africa's second highest wicket-taker in their 50-over series win over England in January 2009.
