Profile

Angus Robson, younger brother of the Middlesex and England opener Sam, took the first steps towards emulating his achievements when he was given a full-time contract with Leicestershire. He made three Championship appearances at the end of Leicestershire's wooden spoon season in 2013, narrowly missing a maiden half-century when he made 49 against Gloucestershire in Bristol. Better followed in another bottom-placed Championship finish in 2014: a century against the Indian tourists his most eye-catching feat in a summer when he was the only Leicestershire batsman to pass 1,000 Championship runs.
