10.1

Wagner to Cook, OUT, fullish and chipped in the air ... straight to mid-on! For the second time in two Tests, Cook has thrown his wicket to Wagner! He stares at the pitch in accusatory fashion but it just seemed like he mistimed the shot, maybe the pace was taken off the ball, as Cook was slightly early on it and pushed uppishly to the grateful Fulton, who moved a few steps to his left to take the catch. The New Zealanders are skipping around gleefully - the Don Chef is gone!

AN Cook c Fulton b Wagner 17 (43m 31b 1x4 0x6) SR: 54.83

England 26/1   NRD Compton 9* (30b 1x4)   N Wagner 1.1-0-2-1

73.5

Martin to Compton, OUT, and got him, Compton driving away from his body and slip takes it comfortably into his midriff! Martin breaks a 210-run stand with a full ball, little bit of spin and perhaps a tired shot from the batsman, he didn't really get to the pitch - after another impressive innings, Compton departs

NRD Compton c Taylor b Martin 100 (311m 230b 15x4 0x6) SR: 43.47

England 236/2   IJL Trott 111* (184b 15x4)   BP Martin 23.5-7-52-1

91.1

Boult to Trott, OUT, gone first ball, Trott's out without adding to his overnight score! Boult fired one into the corridor and Trott, so diligent yesterday, pushes away from his body to thin one through to the keeper! It was a good length, possibly wide enough to leave but Trott was tempted ...

IJL Trott c †Watling b Boult 121 (341m 235b 15x4 0x6) SR: 51.48

England 267/3   KP Pietersen 18* (54b 1x4)   TA Boult 20.1-4-78-1

106.2

Martin to Bell, OUT, Bell on the charge, spotting a red rag somewhere in the ground, but it's Ahmedebad all over again and the attempted loft over the bowler's head swirls high out somewhere behind cover and mid-off, where Fulton makes good ground before taking an excellent catch! For Pragyan Ohja, read Bruce Martin, as Bell loses his head and his wicket in the same moment

IR Bell c Fulton b Martin 11 (65m 46b 2x4 0x6) SR: 23.91

England 302/4   KP Pietersen 42* (99b 2x4 1x6)   BP Martin 29.2-9-65-2

112.6

Martin to Root, OUT, tossed up, full and tempting and Martin gets another, Root nicking off! That was a pretty ugly shot, cross-batted and attempting to hitting the cover off a wide delivery that just spun and bounced a little, scraped the edge on its way through and Watling takes the catch throws the ball into the air as McCullum feels another bead of sweat evaporate from his brow

JE Root c †Watling b Martin 10 (24m 20b 1x4 0x6) SR: 50.00

England 325/5   KP Pietersen 55* (119b 4x4 1x6)   BP Martin 33-9-79-3

124.2

Martin to Pietersen, OUT, oh, gone, Martin lands a knockout punch on KP! Or rather, Pietersen knocks himself out, dismissed in similar fashion to Bell, trying to stamp his authority on the situation and lofting the ball high towards mid-off, Fulton under it again. McCullum kept the field up, tempting the batsman to go over the top but Pietersen was slightly done in the flight and didn't get anywhere near the pitch

KP Pietersen c Fulton b Martin 73 (208m 149b 7x4 1x6) SR: 48.99

England 366/6   MJ Prior 23* (38b 4x4)   BP Martin 38.2-11-91-4

125.3

Boult to Broad, OUT, trapped on the crease and there's a tickle of the bat, Broad's gone too! Decent line from Boult, though he could have left on length, instead he fenced at it and got a nibble through to the keeper (whose name we all know)

SCJ Broad c †Watling b Boult 6 (6m 5b 1x4 0x6) SR: 120.00

England 374/7   MJ Prior 24* (40b 4x4)   TA Boult 27.3-4-108-2

145.1

Wagner to Finn, OUT, got him, Finn caught driving! One shot too many from the Watford Wall, who mistimed a punch and picked out the man stationed at short extra-cover. Wagner looks a mighty relieved man after an expensive spell but he's broken a very handy 83-run stand. They check Wagner hadn't gone outside the return crease in his delivery stride but all was well

ST Finn c McCullum b Wagner 24 (82m 61b 4x4 0x6) SR: 39.34

England 457/8   MJ Prior 82* (97b 10x4 2x6)   N Wagner 32.1-5-114-2

146.2

Williamson to Prior, OUT, and there's that selflessness again, reverse-sweeping and caught by a leaping Wagner at short third man. Could have hung around to get the hundred but Prior always wants to crack on, he got a top edge but didn't quite clear the man

MJ Prior c Wagner b Williamson 82 (139m 99b 10x4 2x6) SR: 82.82

England 465/9   JM Anderson 8* (5b 2x4)   KS Williamson 3.2-0-16-1

146.5

Williamson to Panesar, OUT, edged and gone, Williamson picks up a second and wraps up the England innings! Panesar rather tamely pushed at one that straightened and was caught at slip, he gives Anderson at the other end a sheepish look and off the players go - England will be bowling after tea

MS Panesar c Taylor b Williamson 0 (2m 3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

England 465/10   JM Anderson 8* (5b 2x4)   KS Williamson 3.5-0-16-2
