India fast bowler Ishant Sharma continued his solid Test bowling form on tour in New Zealand by claiming figures of 6 for 51 in the first innings of the 2nd Test at Basin Reserve in Wellington

Finally Ishi is showing what he can do. A tall sturdy guy (I have never even heard of Ish breaking down unlike many tall lads) with a built-in natural wobble & variation (in-dipper /hold the line/ out-cutter to right hand batsmen) who bowls at 135kph (no need to be express because of his height and natural action) is pretty much all you need to wipe out most sides. I think he has been mis advised in the past. In WI he showed what he can do if allowed to lead the attack, winning man of the series (first for an indian bowler after Kapil I believe). It's time Ish takes over as leader of the pace attack and we retire Zak who is fitter now but still ineffective.
