I Sharma to Rutherford, OUT, Ishant Sharma turns this morning around for India. Poor shot - not the first one - from Rutherford. Short of a length, outside off, Rutherford punches away from the body, can't control the bounce, and gets a thick edge. Rahane takes a diving catch at gully, flying to his right. Rotherford must be wondering he should be so lucky. He has seen Fulton survive two, and the first time he edges, there is a flying Indian to take the catch. And which bowler of all? The much-maligned Ishant Sharma. Rutherford shouldn't be blaming his luck, though. He has been going after wide deliveries as if they were going out of fashion

HD Rutherford c Rahane b I Sharma 6 (42m 30b 1x4 0x6) SR: 20.00

New Zealand 19/1   PG Fulton 12* (29b 2x4)   I Sharma 0.5-0-1-1

Khan to Fulton, OUT, and Zaheer gets a wicket first ball back. Has this pitched in line, though? Length ball, tight around middle and leg, just about holds its line. Just pitched on line, Fulton defends for the angle, but somehow misses it, and is somehow hit on the back leg

PG Fulton lbw b Khan 13 (54m 35b 2x4 0x6) SR: 37.14

New Zealand 23/2   KS Williamson 3* (8b)   Z Khan 4.1-0-15-1

I Sharma to Taylor, OUT, Ishant has two. This is No. 151. Taylor is gone. He drives at a length ball, plays just in front of his body, and fails to keep it down. Jadeja takes a safe catch at shortish wide mid-off. Taylor just didn't look settled in there. He was edgy throughout. This wasn't a half-volley by any stretch

LRPL Taylor c Jadeja b I Sharma 3 (23m 15b 0x4 0x6) SR: 20.00

New Zealand 30/3   KS Williamson 7* (23b 1x4)   I Sharma 4.1-1-4-2

Khan to Williamson, OUT, that's an unfortunate way to get out. This is a poor delivery, going down leg, at gentle pace, asking to be glanced away for four, but he gets a thin edge through to Dhoni down the leg side

KS Williamson c †Dhoni b Khan 113 (250m 172b 10x4 2x6) SR: 65.69

New Zealand 251/4   BB McCullum 109* (157b 16x4 1x6)   Z Khan 17.1-1-73-2

I Sharma to Anderson, OUT, and Ishant produces a wicket from nowhere. Bowled from wide of the crease, angling in a long way, hits him in front of the stumps, but wouldn't it have gone down with the angle? Umpire Steve Davis says it wouldn't have, and raises his finger. Missing both on the line and the height. Brendon McCullum, the non-striker, is bemused. Shakes his head in surprise. Tell you what, Steve Davis doesn't quite look impressed with the NZ captain's reaction

CJ Anderson lbw b I Sharma 77 (139m 109b 13x4 1x6) SR: 70.64

New Zealand 384/5   BB McCullum 162* (238b 21x4 2x6)   I Sharma 25.4-4-89-3

I Sharma to Watling, OUT, and Ishant is one short of a five-for. Wide half-volley from Sharma, Watling drives away from the body, no attempt made to get close to the line of the ball. Edges it through to third slip

BJ Watling c Dhawan b I Sharma 1 (18m 6b 0x4 0x6) SR: 16.66

New Zealand 398/6   BB McCullum 175* (253b 24x4 2x6)   I Sharma 27.1-4-97-4

Mohammed Shami to Southee, OUT, moves too far across. He has been doing this to get runs fine on the leg side, but this time he has gone too far, exposing his middle and leg stumps. Shami hits them, beating Southee's attempt to flick

TG Southee b Mohammed Shami 28 (28m 21b 3x4 2x6) SR: 133.33

New Zealand 434/7   BB McCullum 182* (265b 25x4 2x6)   Mohammed Shami 24.3-6-77-1

I Sharma to Sodhi, OUT, Sharma gets a five-for. His first since July 2011. Sharma bowls on a length, just outside off, makes him poke at the ball. The edge goes low to second slip, and Rohit Sharma takes a good catch

IS Sodhi c RG Sharma b I Sharma 23 (39m 27b 3x4 0x6) SR: 85.18

New Zealand 490/8   BB McCullum 212* (292b 28x4 4x6)   I Sharma 31.2-4-128-5

Jadeja to Wagner, OUT, Kohli for spin is a good slip fielder. He takes a low sharp one here. Wagner expects this to turn. It doesn't. Takes the edge. Kohli does the rest

N Wagner c Kohli b Jadeja 0 (6m 7b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

New Zealand 495/9   BB McCullum 217* (294b 29x4 4x6)   RA Jadeja 24.5-1-118-1

I Sharma to McCullum, OUT, superb catch by Jadeja. India's fielding has been bleak, but this is outstanding. McCullum goes straight this time, nearly clears long-on where Jadeja leaps high to take the catch inches inside. He realises there is no way he can hold himself in, and almost backhands this back into the field of play. Goes over the rope, and comes back to claim it. One of the best catches of this variety ever

BB McCullum c Jadeja b I Sharma 224 (462m 307b 29x4 5x6) SR: 72.96

New Zealand 503/10   TA Boult 1* (4b)   I Sharma 33.4-4-134-6

Martin Crowe: NZ should have enforced follow-on

New Zealand chose to bat again despite taking a lead of 301 in the first innings, and their subsequent collapse for 105 has given India an outside chance of victory. Martin Crowe analyses a dramatic third day (06:34) | February 8, 2014
