Pakistan won by 43 runs
29 January 2011 - day/night match (50-over match)

Southee to Ahmed Shehzad, OUT, Caught at second slip! There has been no major seam movement so far and even this delivery just straightens. It landed on a good length outside off and straightened, Shehzad wafted away from the body and got a thick edge

Ahmed Shehzad c Styris b Southee 0 (6m 3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Pakistan 2/1   Mohammad Hafeez 2* (6b)   TG Southee 0.3-0-0-1
3.1

Southee to Kamran Akmal, OUT, Dragged on! It landed short of length outside off stump and moved back in a bit. Nothing alarming, just a little bit. Akmal saw the width and shaped for his punchy forcing shot through the off side. Did the ball stop on him a touch? He seemed to have pushed at it early, and the bat came down in an angle, and got a fatal inside edge. The leg stump is pegged back. He wasn't in great position to play that shot.

Kamran Akmal b Southee 6 (7m 9b 1x4 0x6) SR: 66.66

Pakistan 8/2   Mohammad Hafeez 2* (7b)   TG Southee 1.1-0-1-2
13.3

Oram to Younis Khan, OUT, gone! What was Younis doing there? He appeared to have made his mind up there, came down the track before it was delivered and failed to pick the change in pace, it was the slower one, went through with his attempted loft over mid-on, mistimed and was caught comfortably

Younis Khan c Mills b Oram 12 (47m 22b 1x4 0x6) SR: 54.54

Pakistan 56/3   Mohammad Hafeez 36* (48b 4x4 1x6)   JDP Oram 0.3-0-1-1

Mills to Misbah-ul-Haq, OUT, Misbah falls, trying to force the pace. He went down the track and tried to clear the length delivery over mid-off but didn't connect well. Styris pouches it at mid-off

Misbah-ul-Haq c Styris b Mills 35 (91m 64b 1x4 0x6) SR: 54.68

Pakistan 150/4   Mohammad Hafeez 89* (120b 10x4 1x6)   KD Mills 6.1-0-18-1

Mills to Mohammad Hafeez, OUT, Fine knock comes to an end. It was the low full toss and Hafeez tries to whip it over the on side field but top edges it to the on side. Rosco, at midwicket, moves to his left to take it. Good knock from Hafeez. His maiden ton. Just ahead of the WC. Purrfect timing.

Mohammad Hafeez c Taylor b Mills 115 (185m 144b 12x4 2x6) SR: 79.86

Pakistan 202/5   Umar Akmal 26* (21b 2x4 1x6)   KD Mills 8.4-0-35-2
47.6

Bennett to Umar Akmal, OUT, shuffles across to outside off and tries to paddle it but misses. The off stump is pegged back. Good hand from Umar, though. Pakistan look so good when the top order gives them a solid base and the dangerous men lurking in the lower order are given a free licence to hit. That's how they played in 80's. And they continue to do it in some style even now

Umar Akmal b Bennett 44 (51m 29b 4x4 2x6) SR: 151.72

Pakistan 271/6   Shahid Afridi 50* (19b 2x4 5x6)   HK Bennett 6-0-49-1
49.2

Bennett to Shahid Afridi, OUT, Fine catch from Brendon. It was the good-length delivery cutting into Afridi who went for the pull but got an inside edge. Baz dives to his left to pluck it with his left hand. Murderous innings from Afridi ends. It was immense fun to watch.

Shahid Afridi c †McCullum b Bennett 65 (26m 25b 5x4 5x6) SR: 260.00

Pakistan 288/7   Abdul Razzaq 2* (2b)   HK Bennett 6.2-0-50-2
