Bevan Griggs is a valuable member of the Central Districts side who is tidy behind the stumps and can provide useful runs. During a long career with the squad, Griggs averages almost 30 in first-class games, including two centuries, and can lift the tempo in limited-overs affairs when necessary. He also holds the Central Districts record for wicketkeeping dismissals. In 2006-07 he was the team's player of the year and he represented New Zealand A the following season.
