Auckland have signed allrounder Andre Adams as their principal overseas professional for the 2010-11 domestic season. He will be available to Auckland for the Plunket Shield, Twenty20 and one-day competitions.
"We're delighted to welcome him back," Auckland chief executive Andrew Eade told the New Zealand Herald. "His experience will be a huge asset for the team and because he's been part of the Aces setup he will fit in immediately."
Adams had made his debut for Auckland in the 1997-98 season. In his last domestic first-class competition for the side in 2007-08, Adams took 29 wickets at an average of 8.27 before leaving to represent Nottinghamshire. In 108 first-class games, Adams has taken 430 wickets at 24 apiece, and scored three centuries.
