Profile

Anaru Kitchen, a right-handed batsman, made quite an impact for Auckland early on in his career. In his debut season, 2008-09, he played an vital role in Auckland's triumph in the State Championship, averaging above 50.00, with three hundreds in five matches - including one in the final. He has not been able to replicate that level of form since, but is a solid middle-order option for Auckland in all three formats. He was a part of Auckland's one-day and Twenty20 title-winning squads in the 2010-11 season, and travelled with the side to the Champions League T20 in India in September 2011.
