Bollinger to Watling, OUT, gone first ball, trapped in front, some swing there for Bollinger, swung in to land on middle and moved down to strike him on the pads in front of middle and leg, Watling was half-forward and tried to drive that through the leg side, missed and was caught plumb

BJ Watling lbw b Bollinger 0 (3m 1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

New Zealand 3/1   TG McIntosh 3* (4b)   DE Bollinger 0.5-0-3-1

Johnson to McIntosh, OUT, run-out, they've been grinding it out all this while and suddenly decide to scramble for a quick single that just isn't there, dropped on the pitch and Ingram rushes in at the striker's end but Johnson gets there before him, kicking the ball onto the stumps to find him miles short

PJ Ingram run out 5 (49m 32b 0x4 0x6) SR: 15.62

New Zealand 14/2   TG McIntosh 6* (46b)   MG Johnson 2-2-0-0

Harris to McIntosh, OUT, gone, McIntosh's torture ends, Harris gets his maiden Test wicket, he's been leaving those deliveries until now but fell for one that pitched on a good length and left him a touch, drove at it hard, got a thick outside edge to Hussey who hangs on to a sharp catch at gully

TG McIntosh c Hussey b Harris 9 (73m 58b 0x4 0x6) SR: 15.51

New Zealand 31/3   LRPL Taylor 13* (17b 3x4)   RJ Harris 6.4-3-12-1

Bollinger to Taylor, OUT, edged and superbly taken by North at third slip! Bolly comes back strikes with his first ball of a new spell, short of a length, surprised Taylor a bit with the extent of bounce on that one, played at it off the back foot, got a thick edge and Marcus North dived full length to his right to pluck a sharp one

LRPL Taylor c North b Bollinger 21 (54m 38b 4x4 0x6) SR: 55.26

New Zealand 43/4   MJ Guptill 4* (30b 1x4)   DE Bollinger 5.1-4-3-2

Harris to Vettori, OUT, similar ball from Harris but a touch shorter and Vettori looks to drive again but doesn't get to the pitch and only manages to get an edge to the right of second slip, a sharp catch taken by Ponting

DL Vettori c Ponting b Harris 46 (82m 71b 6x4 0x6) SR: 64.78

New Zealand 112/5   MJ Guptill 19* (94b 2x4 1x6)   RJ Harris 11.5-4-27-2

Bollinger to McCullum, OUT, back of a length and McCullum is quick onto the pull shot but swings it into the air off the toe of the bat down to fine leg, Harris takes a very well judged catch running and diving forward at fine leg. Very nicely taken from Harris but a rash shot from McCullum

BB McCullum c Harris b Bollinger 24 (36m 25b 3x4 1x6) SR: 96.00

New Zealand 148/6   MJ Guptill 30* (120b 3x4 1x6)   DE Bollinger 11.1-4-24-3

Bollinger to Guptill, OUT, a rising delivery back of a length from Bollinger, Guptill looks tentative outside the off stump as he looks to defend but gets a feather of an edge and Haddin does the rest to his right. Good aggression from Bollinger who is straight into his work

MJ Guptill c †Haddin b Bollinger 30 (155m 122b 3x4 1x6) SR: 24.59

New Zealand 148/7   DR Tuffey 0* (0b)   DE Bollinger 11.3-4-24-4

Bollinger to Tuffey, OUT, length ball outside the off stump, Tuffey defends with soft hands into the cover regions, looks like a safe single but great work from Hauritz at point who picks up and throws with one hand and hits the stumps. Not a huge appeal but referred and Tuffey hasn't grounded his bat and inches short

DR Tuffey run out 0 (14m 6b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

New Zealand 154/8   TG Southee 4* (7b 1x4)   DE Bollinger 12.3-4-25-4

Bollinger to Arnel, OUT, first ball batting in test cricket for Arnell, back of a length from Bollinger angling across the right hander and Arnell gets a feather on the ball to the safe hands of Ponting at second slip who takes a good catch leaning forward

BJ Arnel c Ponting b Bollinger 0 (4m 1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

New Zealand 156/9   TG Southee 5* (8b 1x4)   DE Bollinger 12.4-4-27-5

Johnson to Southee, OUT, length ball and Southee who has no faith in Martin as he swings to mid wicket, big noise as the ball passes the bat. The Australians are confident and Southee is given out but he refers the decision instantly. Clearly a noise as the ball passes the bat but nothing from hot spot. The replay suggests there is no contact with the bat but no concrete evidence to reverse the decision. Unlucky for Southee but great news for this Australian side who has come out this morning and done the business with some good aggressive bowling

TG Southee c †Haddin b Johnson 5 (18m 9b 1x4 0x6) SR: 55.55

New Zealand 157/10   CS Martin 0* (3b)   MG Johnson 11.1-5-38-1
