According to me, if you are a die-hard cricket(Indian) fan, you have to take the losing as well. After all the Indian Team havent travelled all the way to Australia and England to lose. Its a game after all, where one team wins and the other loses. What India needs is a simple change in personnel. BCCI needs to understand the fact that past laurels dont win you matches. They must do to Laxman, Dravid and Tendulkar what they did to Bhajji a few months back. An Indian fan can"t have it both ways- expect the seniors to be picked because he is a "big fan" of his, and also expect the team to win with old legs against an Australian team with budding youngsters, that too at home. The seniors have already showcased their talent in the past, now its the turn of the youngsters who are hungry to show their potential to the world. India must do exactly what Australia did, drop the seniors, pick the youngsters. Then things will shape up considerably. :)

Advertisement has to go. Its a cancer affecting every aspect of life. It gets in as a provider and then quickly becomes the sootradhar. We need cricket to be a short and sweet story. Not a lengthy never ending mega serial. Cricket 365 days a year is equivalent to a never-ending mega serial.

@cricket_lover777: spot on! and the tracer-bullet-like experts blame the BCCI. They simply could not have dropped these 'legends' without causing riots in the country. The solution is for these 'legends' to make way on their own, which they seem not inclined towards. The fact that they wanted to tour England and Australia having known that there would be no away tours for the next two years, instead of letting the next generation get a feel of these conditions, by itself has brought down the respect that I had for these legends. And, they seem to be waiting to be kicked out to the curb.

The Indian fan is worse than Shaid Afridi in this respect, 1 home series against bangladesh and he'll be back....

@cricket_lover777: I don't think its a case of people worshiping Indian players.. Its a case of media glorifying even an average cricketer and the commentators repeatedly talking about the senior guys as if they are gods who have descended to planet Earth.. If you mute them both, you will get a better perspective of what Indian fans are all about... I don't think there would have been a big noise if any/few of Dravid/Laxman/Sehwag/Gambhir etc. were dropped or even if Tendulkar was rested for ODIs... Its just the way things are made out in the media...

Viru's bald patch peeking out from behind his new found foliage...subtle.

good ... yes .. the average indian fan is fed up and .. has retired as far as overseas tests are concerned ... about overseas ODIs .. we will know very soon .. meanwhile ... sehwag can keep yelling the same tune ...
