The record

  • Have spinners been less effective in this IPL?
It's early days yet, but the numbers show that fingerspinners have struggled. Ajit Agarkar and S Rajesh figure out why
  • Do we need to be harsher on wide yorkers?
V Ramnarayan: Maybe it's time to give bowlers a little more leeway down the leg side and a little less on the off
  • Wake up and smell the IPL
Mark Nicholas: Spring in England is a time for getting back into the rhythms of cricket. In India, it's a different ball game
  • About a bully boy
The Cricket Monthly: At his best Matthew Hayden resembled a big, nasty brute terrorising a bunch of kids. Where was the joy in that?
  • How Kohli rules T20
Aakash Chopra: He cannot match the big hitters for power, but his numbers are as good as theirs - if not better
