even if sachin decides to retire he shouldn't declare it before the match like ponting did that would be too hard on indian players and fans...btwi think he'll call it quits after the fourth english test..

The cartoon makes perfect sense, the Great man should retire now for the sake of game and new comers. If board is not telling him to do so, then they are not loyal to the country (the message shows that). He is a legend, but Lara and Ponting were also legends; and they are gone too.

good humour. I am sure that Satish has meant it in a light hearted way. Although I am not a big Sachin fan, but between the cries for asking him to retire, If we see fairly, Sachin is contributing enough (runs wise) compared to Dhoni.

Satish - A tongue-in-cheek kind of cartoon. But honestly, it doesn't make a lot of sense. First of all, legends such as Sachin, Ponting and Kallis cannot be compared to one another (considering what they bring to their teams, the state in which their teams are, their respective countries, etc.). Secondly, if 'recent contribution' was the only factor in retirement (as Ponting claims in this cartoon), then there are several other players who should consider retirement before Sachin (few examples are: Gambhir, AB De Villiers, Sanga, Jayawardene!) Yes - Even Sanga and Mahela failed miserably in the recent 2-test series, and that too in SL! Should they also be forced to retire ?

Last time I spoke to Sachin, I told him - he is missing triple century in test from his career profile.
He looked serious for that.I wish he come back to form and make one triple century. After that, he retire.
Day Sachin will retire from Cricket, it will be a biggest loss to Cricket and Sachin's fans.

Because Ponting retires, Tendulkar should retire? What's that connection with money? Does that make any sense. That's a cheap shot. What has such a dignified character Tendulkar done to warrant such insult? If he is after money or known to bully BCCI with his wards and fanaticism, I can understand such cartoons. BCCI does not want Tendulkar to retire because he is contributing lot of money? Seems like a desperate attempt by the cartoonist to promote himself.

very bad. do u 'clever cartonist' think that sachin is playing for money or to generate money for bcci? if thats the case, why he be so passionate about cricket for so many years? not so good from satish. dont expect appreciation for whatever you put across over here
'Shukriya Hyderabad for the support' Fan Following: The TV cameras focused on him a few times, his fan report made it to ESPNcricinfo, and his team won. Franklin Joseph is a lucky man
Rains, runs and an RCB revival Fan Following: You know it's been a special day if it ends with a victory lap where AB de Villiers is dancing
Watching a game v living it Fan Following: T20s are great, especially when your home team wins, but can it compare to the experience of watching an ODI or a Test?
From nobody to IPL star Aakash Chopra: Apart from luck, you need to pick your team wisely, get to bat at the top, and have your captain's support
Fixing? It's people like us doing it Ed Hawkins: It's convenient to blame the underworld for every instance of fixing, but it's ordinary punters behind many of them
