Really Cook made a big difference with his top class batting in this series against India. Surely I now think England will take the series with 3-1

I think it's meant to be more a representation of how England have historically performed in the subcontinent rather than Cook the player specifically, since he's never really been a bad player of spin at all (scored his first century on debut in India after all!)

I did not like this mockery.
Before India series, Cook has never been a bad player.
