Peshawar Zalmi's bowling attack had another fine night as they smothered Lahore Qalandars to 117 for 6 to set up a nine-wicket victory.

With Chris Gayle, Umar Akmal, Azhar Ali and Dwayne Bravo, Lahore have arguably the best batting line-up in the Pakistan Super League. But Peshawar had the upper hand right from the first ball - Junaid Khan went full and straight and Gayle's stumps went for a toss. Two deliveries later, Cameron Delport was run out for a duck courtesy a direct hit from Shahid Yousuf at mid-on. Azhar (31), Akmal (21) and Bravo (32) helped Lahore last the full quota of overs. Left-arm spinner Mohammad Asghar picked up 2 for 11 and an economy rate of 2.75. Shahid Afridi, the captain, finished with 0 for 18 from his four overs.

A required rate less than run-a-ball in the chase was never going to be a problem and it proved so as Peshawar openers Tamim Iqbal (55*) and Mohammad Hafeez (43) knocked off 80% of the target. They added 95 in 68 balls and the remaining 23 runs were secured with ease.

If the batsmen of top order Zalmi perform properly, then they have better chances over remaining 4 teams. HAFEEZ AND jUNAID TO PERFORM CONSISTENT. Since the venue is changing from day after tomorrow, it will make the competition more interesting.

What does azhar ali offer? Wasted 7 over, if you can't make any runs just get out. Hammad Azam is wasted lower down order. I would rather see him batting with 15 overs remaining than 5. Guys like umar akmal, afridi, Hammad and even sarfaraz should be batting at number 3 or 4 in t20. Pakistani players still playing the 90's cricket leaving everything for last 5 overs. Play attacking cricket from the first ball in t20, typical afridi fails to take on the responsibility with the bat

Muhammad Asghar's bowling is treat to watch, a great talent. Looking forward to see him in national team. There has been lot of talk about pitches but in my opinion the bowling has been of very high standard.

Pakistani batsmen like afridi Kamran Umar malik should promote their self and come up in order. as Asia t20 and wt20 is on the way so they should get some form and rhythm. it'll be beneficial for Pakistani tram in upcoming events.

I don't know about others but as bangladeshi fan, I loved this PSL edition "a sharp contrast to all leagues around the world including BPL ".
