Bangladesh's proposed tour of Pakistan

ESPNcricinfo staff

Bangladesh's proposed tour of Pakistan, which would have marked a return of international cricket in the country, has been postponed. A short limited-overs series was initially scheduled for April end, but an order issued on April 19 by the Dhaka High Court suspended the tour for four weeks. The decision has added to doubts over whether the tour will go ahead at all. Here's the full coverage of the lead-up to the decision on Thursday

Pakistan was never a minnow team or goodness sake we won test status in 1952 or smthng and then we won a lot of matches after that bangladesh has won 3 matches in 11 years after Pakistan gave u test status and 3200 polcemen are no joke

@ imadchishti: do remember once your Pakistan was also considered as minnows. So, if we are minnows why ur team suffered playing against us in the final? BD lost only by 2 runs, is this a performance of a big team? Do keep respect for a brilliant performance, like the Bangladeshi did, otherwise you have to play with teams like UAE, Afghanistan..... And remember The Court is the highest law enforcing institution in our BD, so whatever they decide BCB have to obey their decision. Thnx for your needless comment.

Whats the big fuss, if Bangladesh don't want to play with us, what positive we could get by playing Bangladesh. Leave them alone. Prepare for big series.

I think its better to approach teams like UAE. Bangladesh still needs to mature alot, they gained premature recognition earlier, they i believe played very negative role in this whole scenario, they tried extracting benefits from everyone by keeping everyone engaged with false promises and in the end deceiving by going where they get most benefit, they never intent to visit Pakistan. Advice for Pakistan, please reconsider relations with minnows like bangladesh, that hurts Pakistan's position as well in term of planning tours with teams like Australia, South Africa etc. I am sure playing with Bangladesh is not to polish and improve our playing skills but to help bring cricket back to Pakistan.

Sri Lanka was also assured of "Presidential Level" security. and look what it got them.

Situations have improved zilch. no point in depending on word of mouth, which has failed before.
