England allrounder Tim Bresnan will fly back to the UAE after on Sunday after passing a fitness tests in the UK. Bresnan will play the one-day warm-up match against England Lions in Abu Dhabi on February 10 as match practice ahead of the one-day series that begins three days later.

Bresnan, 26, underwent surgery for an elbow injury in early December, but suffered discomfort when bowling in the nets at the start of England's tour of the UAE. It was decided to send him home before the Test series against Pakistan began. He underwent a fitness test at Headingley on Thursday.

The squad is scheduled to be named towards the end of the third Test between England and Pakistan currently taking place in Dubai. England are scheduled to play four ODIs and three T20Is in the UAE.

Bresnan last played in England's T20 win over India in Calcutta. He has been on the winning side in all 10 Tests he has played.

Ohhhhmattymatty - keep dreaming and @woodhaven24

I agree that he's had a great start to his test career but in 106 matches at FC level he averages 30.6 per wicket and 28 with the bat. Hardly ground breaking statistics and your claiming he's one of the best in the world!

I think he's got talent for sure but two good series, one against Australia when they were at their lowest ebb and India when half their team were out injured or out of form hardly constitutes a career just yet.

Give the lad some time and see how things pan out before you make silly claims like that.

Wow, if Bresnan was here, the English would be 3-0 up is a lame excuse to be perfectly honest.

England are literally the worst team on earth. After 100 odd years of being cellar dwellers they have a brief 6 months at the top thanks to a bunch of imports and then are already getting whitewashed by the likes of pakistan. Absolutely hilarious. Keep wiping that egg off your faces england fans, there is a lot more to come!!

You are most welcome to play in the desert , come on put your effort, bend your back and go back home with soar back like all your teammates are doing at the moment.

My suggest to Bransen, just stay home and be happy.
