tries to smack this one over the on side as well and ends up mistiming it to fine leg
|

Umar Gul to Bell,
OUT,
nipped back in and trapped him on the pads and Bell is reviewing it, landed on a good length and it hit him fairly high on the back leg but within line of the stumps, Oxenford thought that was hitting but Bell wasn't sure, Hawkeye showed that hitting the top of middle, so the umpire's decision stands, England have used up their reviews

where did that take off from? The extra bounce takes Broad by surprise and sneaks past him and the outside edge
|
101.3 |
Junaid Khan to Broad,
2 runs,
appeal for a run-out and this is a tough call for the third umpire, Broad pushed it towards short cover and Azhar Ali effected a direct hit at the bowler's end, Broad dived early and it appeared as if his bat was raised when it hit the stumps, he gets the benefit of the doubt and fair call, they take an extra run off the deflection from the stumps
|

Another absorbing session but England will go back feeling a bit better, all thanks to Stuart Broad. The lead of 66 is not massive by any means but enough to frustrate Pakistan a little. The reason being it's not a specialist batsman who's leading England's resistance, it's by a bowler who can bat and as he's shown, quite impressive.
The break could reverse Pakistan's fortunes. Alex will take you through the first half after lunch. See you later.
