View dismissal Nasir Jamshed c Kallis b Steyn 24 65 46 1 0 52.17
15.2 straight to Kallis at wide slip this time and Steyn pulls out half-a-chinsaw celebration. It was a shortish ball angled across the left-hander, amply wide outside off stump to leave it, but he goes for it with the intention of working it down to third man. But he only manages an edge which goes to the slip fielder at chest-high 49/1
View dismissal Ahmed Shehzad c †de Kock b Kallis 35 101 70 3 0 50.00
23.3 he's gone this time! After threatening for nearly an entire over just recently, he nicks off to the keeper and Kallis has a wicket on his ODI comeback. Steady bowling, on a good length just outside off. Shehzad poked his bat out and watched his edge sit snugly in the keeper's gloves 73/3
View dismissal Mohammad Hafeez c Amla b Steyn 5 12 10 1 0 50.00
17.3 and the romance continues! Edged and goes low to the man at first slip and Amla makes no mistake. That full length ball just manages to nip away to claim the outside edge as Hafeez pushes at the ball. A second later Steyn is leaping high in the air, punching things only he can see. Hmm.. where have I seen that celebration before? 58/2
View dismissal Sohaib Maqsood c Imran Tahir b Kallis 22 77 43 0 0 51.16
34.3 Tahir comes in from long-on and holds on to one and its the big wicket. Maqsood makes the long walk back after playing a very irresponsible slog. Takes on the length ball on off stump, but his wild swing only gets a leading edge and it seemed to pop out of Tahir's hands but smothered it against his chest 124/6
View dismissal Misbah-ul-Haq* c †de Kock b Morkel 13 24 19 1 0 68.42
28.6 he's been bounced out! de Kock makes no mistake and Pakistan slide even further in trouble. That rose very awkwardly and Misbah was committed to working the ball towards fine leg, but he only manages to fend the ball into the keeper's hands 97/4
View dismissal Umar Akmal c †de Kock b Philander 0 3 3 0 0 0.00
29.4 another outside edge and de Kock continues to have a good day. Lovely line and length just outside off prompts Akmal into poking at it and the mistake ends up being fatal for the Pakistan wicketkeeper 98/5
View dismissal Shahid Afridi b Steyn 26 31 23 1 1 113.04
35.5 Off comes the leg bail! Everything else remains, even the off bail but that is enough to send Afridi back. Horrible shot as he went right across his stumps to lap the ball over to fine leg. Why would you do that to a bowler of Steyn's pace? 131/7
View dismissal Bilawal Bhatti lbw b Morkel 39 56 25 3 2 156.00
47.3 one innovation too many, but that is the end of an enterprising and more to the point, a much needed innings. Ah, but hold your horses, I think we have a review. It was full and straight, the batsman was moving across to the of side to lap it over the short fine leg fielder and gets struck plumb in front. The on-field umpire agrees but the batsman wanted a second opinion, which comes in the affirmative and Bhatti has to go 205/8
Anwar Ali not out 43 64 55 6 0 78.18
View dismissal Saeed Ajmal c Duminy b Morkel 3 10 5 0 0 60.00
49.2 143 kph, simple catch to mid-off and that shall be Ajmal's last miscue in this innings. It was too quick for him as he goes for a slog. Duminy saw the leading edge, called early, settled beneath it and took a simple catch. 213/9

View dismissal GC Smith st †Umar Akmal b Mohammad Hafeez 12 22 16 2 0 75.00
3.5 never-ending appeal from Umar Akmal as Smith jumps outside leg and tries to cut the ball. Hafeez had pushed it through to beat the bat. The ball thuds into the keeper's gloves and trickles onto the stumps at exactly the same time as Smith's back foot rises in order to reclaim his balance. Very tight decision here. There is also concern of Akmal's gloves the reason for the bails being disturbed. But the third umpire sends the red light and Pakistan erupt. I reckon they didn't think that would have been out 20/2
View dismissal HM Amla b Junaid Khan 3 12 3 0 0 100.00
2.2 the stumps are broken but Junaid doesn't realise it as he was going up for the leg before. it was a length ball on leg stump but with Amla going so far across he missed the flick and then it was timber! 12/1
View dismissal Q de Kock b Bilawal Bhatti 19 47 24 3 0 79.16
12.1 the stumps take a beating as the ball sneaks between bat and pad. Pressure from the other end manifests in a wicket as de Kock goes for a lazy drive. His front foot did not come towards the line of the full length ball on middle stump and with Bhatti's in-cut Pakistan are back in the game 62/3
View dismissal JH Kallis b Anwar Ali 50 90 71 5 1 70.42
25.4 he's gone! Kallis is in disbelief as that one sneaks off the bottom of his bat and ricochets onto the stumps. It was a fullish ball on off stump, which skidded onto Kallis quicker than he expected. Anwar and Pakistan celebrate wildly, they know that was the crucial strike 115/5
View dismissal AB de Villiers* b Shahid Afridi 10 25 15 1 0 66.66
17.2 AB perishes! Plays back to what he really should have going on the front foot and that is a big blow for South Africa. The "star man" comes out after pushing this one through on off stump and getting the smallest bit of turn, but it was the skid after pitching that did the batsman 79/4
View dismissal JP Duminy c †Umar Akmal b Saeed Ajmal 49 109 70 4 0 70.00
43.1 oh, that might just be the last straw for South Africa! Duminy goes for the reverse sweep, but the ball was not quite full enough and he gloves it to the keeper who dives forward and picks up an excellent catch. End of another fighting innings from JP, but will this one end up in a losing cause as well? 168/8
View dismissal DA Miller c †Umar Akmal b Anwar Ali 4 20 14 0 0 28.57
29.4 Anwar has another! Miller throws a look at his partner, possibly asking if he should review, but there was a clean edge. It was the sucker ball, full and outside off stump. He went for it, playing an expansive drive only to get a feather through to the keeper. 123/6
View dismissal VD Philander c Sohaib Maqsood b Saeed Ajmal 14 35 26 2 0 53.84
37.4 Ajmal, you beauty! That one leaped up off a good length and Philander who was just looking to block it away sees the ball take the splice of the bat and lob all the way to Maqsood at backward point. A determined innings comes to the end as Philander gets a pat from the incoming batsman 155/7
View dismissal DW Steyn b Bilawal Bhatti 15 44 32 1 1 46.87
46.6 144 kph, and the stumps are in disarray again! Misbah's move works as Bhatti keeps it nice and full. A little bit of inward movement beats Steyn's carve through the off side as he made room for himself. 192/9
View dismissal M Morkel b Bilawal Bhatti 17 25 18 1 1 94.44
48.1 and Bhatti finishes things off with the perfect yorker on off stump! Morkel made room outside leg to try and drive this through the off side, but he was too late on the shot and South Africa have succumbed in what was supposed to be a straight forward chase. 195/10
