The Nursery Ground at Lord's was bought in 1887 (it is so named as it was until then the site of Henderson's Nursery) and is used a practice ground and the site of some of the best grass nets in the world. During big matches crowds are allowed onto the outfield, and at the end of the season the pitch hosts Cross Arrows matches. It has staged one day of first-class cricket when, in 1903, the third day of the MCC v Yorkshire match was switched from the main square which had been flooded for the previous two days.

Travel
Tube St John's Wood Station (Jubilee) is a 500-yard walk - Baker Street (Jubilee/Metropolitan/Bakerloo/Hammersmith & City, Circle) is slightly further but is often less congested on major match days and offers more trains.
Train Paddington is 800 yards away.
Car Parking very limited (members only) and on-street and underground parking expensive.
